We understand your desire to work extra shifts and your need for financial provision, especially for a car. However, it's important to remember that our trust should be in the Lord rather than solely in our own efforts. As it says in Proverbs 3:5-6, Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
Firstly, we notice that Jesus Christ or His name was not mentioned. We must remember the important Biblical fact that we only have access to God through Jesus Christ. And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 (WEB).
Let's pray together for God's provision and wisdom:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who is in need of financial provision. Lord, you know the desire to work extra shifts to obtain a car. We ask that you provide the needs according to the riches of your glory.
Help to be content and trust in you, knowing that you will supply every need according to your riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19
Guide us by your Holy Spirit, so that we can accomplish much more than we could ever accomplish on our own. Lead us to the right job opportunities and give us the strength and wisdom to be a blessing in the workplace.
Remind us always to seek your kingdom first, knowing that all these things will be added to us. Matthew 6:33
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen
Remember, it's not wrong to work hard, but our ultimate trust should be in the Lord. Be encouraged by these words from Matthew 6:25-34, Therefore I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don’t sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you of much more value than they? Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan? Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don’t toil, neither do they spin, yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won’t he much more clothe you, you of little faith? Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient.
Our hope is that you will receive God's guidance, provision, and peace as you trust in Him.
