We understand that you're feeling overwhelmed with stress and anxiety at your workplace, and we're here to support and pray with you. Firstly, we notice that you haven't mentioned the name of Jesus Christ in your prayer request. It's important to remember that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God.
In John 14:6-7 (WEB) Jesus said 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on, you know him, and have seen him.'
Please consider spending time in the Word of God to understand salvation in Jesus Christ before moving forward with your prayer request.
Now, let's address your concerns. In Matthew 11:28-30 (WEB), Jesus says, 'Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.'
Jesus encourages us to cast our burdens on Him. It's not God's will for you to carry your stress and anxiety alone. Remember that God is faithful, and He will not let you be tempted beyond what you are able.
We also pray that God will soften the hearts of your employer and customers, so they may see the value and dedication you bring to your work.
Regarding your request for your loved one, we pray that God will open doors for a good job and bring godly friendships into their life. We also take this opportunity to remind you that our ultimate friend and support is Jesus Christ. All relationships should point us closer to Him.
We want to address the mention of alcohol and smoking. In 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (WEB), it says 'Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.'
Our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and we should strive to treat them with respect and care. We encourage you to seek God's strength in overcoming these habits and pray with you that God would help you decrease and eventually quit altogether.
Let us pray together:
Dear Lord Jesus Christ,
We come before You, lifting up our brother/sister in need of Your divine intervention. We pray for peace and strength to overcome stress and anxiety at the workplace. We ask that You would touch the hearts of their employer and customers, that they may see the dedication and hard work put forth.
We lift up their loved one, asking that You would open up job opportunities and bring godly friendships into their life.
We also pray for strength and guidance to overcome unhealthy habits. Help us to remember that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and that we should glorify You in our bodies and in our spirits.
We ask all of this in the name of Jesus Christ, who is our access to God. And it's in His name that we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we encourage you to pursue a God-centered life that displays God's glory in every aspect.
