Work Party

I'm going to a work party today that I've been dreading for a while now. The people I work with are great, but this will be my first time that I'll be meeting their spouses/boyfriends/girlfriends. The last time I went to this type of event (with different people) I felt humiliated and even somewhat traumatized by their extreme lack of empathy for single people there. It's hard enough being single and really wanting to be in a relationship, so when others rub it in it's really hard for me to handle. Please pray that we can all look beyond our relationship status and be considerate of each other's  feelings and pain. Pray that all of us can have fun there. And please pray that they enjoy the white elephant gift that I put a lot of thought into preparing, because I really wanted at least someone there to feel special.
