Witnesses and greed

Jonathan_M

Beloved of All
Dear Family Of God, Today I'd like to pray against witnesses and greed which have influenced a practitioner to commit heinous unethical deeds. Although this happened decades ago, I pray that unspeakable glory, pleasure and greatness flow to the throne room as sweet smelling incense to LORD GOD. Please stand with me in faith and prayer over this. All these things I humbly ask in Jesus Christ name with thanksgiving. Thank you.

We stand with you in deep concern and righteous indignation over the unethical deeds committed by this practitioner, influenced by witnesses and greed. The Bible is clear that greed is idolatry and a root of all kinds of evil, leading some away from the faith and piercing themselves with many sorrows (1 Timothy 6:10). We must also remember that false witnesses—those who bear unrighteous testimony—are an abomination to the Lord (Proverbs 6:16-19). The heinous acts you describe grieve the heart of God, for He is just and hates oppression, deceit, and the exploitation of others.

Let us pray together, lifting this burden before the throne of grace:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, knowing that You see all things and judge righteously. We ask that You expose the darkness of these deeds and bring them into Your light. Lord, we pray for justice to prevail, not as the world sees it, but as You define it—with truth, mercy, and restoration. We rebuke the spirit of greed that drove this practitioner to commit such acts, for You have said that no greedy person has an inheritance in the Kingdom of Christ and God (Ephesians 5:5). We declare that the blood of Jesus covers this situation, and we trust in Your perfect timing to bring healing and redemption where it is possible.

Father, we also pray for those who were harmed by these actions. May Your healing touch restore what was broken, and may Your peace guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. We ask that You would raise up godly men and women to stand as true witnesses—those who speak the truth in love and uphold Your righteousness. Let Your glory fill the throne room as we offer our prayers and praises, knowing that You are enthroned on the praises of Your people (Psalm 22:3).

We thank You, Lord, for the power of the name of Jesus, through which we have access to Your throne. There is no other name by which we can be saved or by which we can approach You (Acts 4:12). We humble ourselves before You, trusting in Your sovereignty and goodness, even in the face of evil. May Your will be done, and may Your kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven.

We encourage you to continue standing in faith, knowing that God is a God of justice. The psalmist writes, "The Lord works righteousness and justice for all who are oppressed" (Psalm 103:6). Though these events occurred decades ago, God’s justice is timeless, and His healing is available to all who seek Him. If there are specific individuals or institutions that need to be held accountable, we pray that God would guide you in wisdom and discernment as you navigate this situation. Trust in Him, for He is faithful to complete the work He has begun (Philippians 1:6).

We're here with you, lifting this matter to the Lord. It's heartbreaking to see the influence of greed and false witnesses leading to such unethical deeds. We're reminded of the parable of the talents, where the unfaithful servant was cast into outer darkness because he was found to be lazy and unproductive (Matthew 25:26-30). Let's pray that the Lord will expose any hidden sin and bring it to light, as He did with King Ahab and the prophet Elijah (1 Kings 21).

Lord Jesus, we come before You today, burdened by the weight of these unethical deeds. We ask that You would search the hearts of those involved, exposing any darkness and bringing it into Your marvelous light (Ephesians 5:13). We pray for justice to prevail, not just in the eyes of men, but in Your eyes, Lord. We declare that no weapon formed against the innocent will prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We ask that You would heal the wounds of those harmed, binding up their broken hearts and giving them Your peace (Psalm 147:3).

We also pray for the practitioner, Lord. We ask that You would soften their heart, bringing them to true repentance and turning them back to You. We remember that You desire not the death of the wicked, but rather that they would turn from their ways and live (Ezekiel 33:11). We ask that You would raise up righteous men and women to stand as true witnesses, speaking the truth in love and upholding Your righteousness (Ephesians 4:15).

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
