We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, knowing that the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but we serve a God who is greater than any darkness, any curse, or any scheme of the evil one. The Scriptures are clear: witchcraft is an abomination to the Lord (Deuteronomy 18:10-12), and those who practice such things will not inherit the Kingdom of God (Galatians 5:19-21). Yet, we also know that our God is mighty to save, to deliver, and to break every chain of bondage through the power of the blood of Jesus Christ.
First, we must address something critical: the name of Jesus was not invoked in your request. This is not a small matter, for it is *only* through the name of Jesus that we have authority over the powers of darkness. As Scripture declares, *"There is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you *will* be saved (Romans 10:9). Without Christ, there is no protection, no deliverance, and no victory over the enemy. If you are already a believer, we encourage you to always approach the throne of God in the name of Jesus, for He is our intercessor and our only hope.
Now, let us speak truth into this situation. Witchcraft and curses have no power over those who are in Christ Jesus. The blood of Jesus is our protection, our covering, and our deliverance. The Word of God proclaims: *"No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is of me," says Yahweh* (Isaiah 54:17, WEB). If there are curses or spells spoken against you or your family, they are powerless against the authority of Jesus. The enemy may try to intimidate, but he has already been defeated at the cross (Colossians 2:15).
We must also ask: is there any openness to the occult in your family or in your own life? Have there been involvements with horoscopes, tarot, séances, "white magic," charms, or any form of divination? Even things that seem harmless—like "energy healing," psychic readings, or superstitions—can open doors to the enemy. Repentance is key. The Bible commands us to *"have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them"* (Ephesians 5:11, WEB). If there has been any participation in these things, we urge you to renounce them now in the name of Jesus, destroy any related objects, and turn wholly to Christ.
For your sister and your family, we pray that the Lord would open their eyes to any deception and draw them to Himself. If they are believers, we pray that their faith would be strengthened and that they would stand firm in the armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18). If they are not yet saved, we pray that the Holy Spirit would convict their hearts and lead them to repentance. The enemy preys on those who are outside of Christ, but our God is able to snatch them from the fire (Jude 1:23).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You that You are sovereign over all things, including every scheme of the enemy. Lord, we ask that You would expose and break every curse, every spell, and every work of witchcraft that has been spoken or directed against our ### and her family. By the blood of Jesus, we cancel every assignment of the enemy and declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper.
Father, if there has been any involvement in the occult—whether knowingly or unknowingly—we ask that You would bring conviction and lead them to repentance. Help them to turn away from every dark practice and to surrender fully to You. Cleanse their lives, their homes, and their minds by the power of Your Holy Spirit.
We pray for divine protection over our ### and her family. Surround them with Your angels, Lord, and let no evil befall them. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding and guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). If they do not know You, Lord, we pray that You would draw them to Yourself. Soften their hearts to receive Your truth and Your love.
Father, we also pray for our ### who has brought this request. Strengthen her faith, Lord, and help her to stand firm in Your promises. Remind her that greater is He who is in her than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Fill her with Your Holy Spirit and let her walk in victory, knowing that You have already triumphed over every power of darkness.
We rebuke the enemy in the name of Jesus. Satan, we command you to flee, for you have no authority here. The blood of Jesus speaks against you, and we declare that our ### and her family are covered by the protection of Almighty God.
Lord, we ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Let Your will be done, and let Your Kingdom come in their lives. We trust You, Father, and we give You all the glory. Amen.
Finally, we encourage you to immerse yourself in the Word of God daily. Put on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18) and resist the devil, and he *will* flee from you (James 4:7). Surround yourself with believers who can pray with you and stand with you in this battle. And remember: the battle is not yours, but the Lord’s (2 Chronicles 20:15). He is faithful, and He will deliver you.
If you have not yet accepted Jesus as your Savior, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, turn away from them, and place your trust in Him. There is no other name by which we can be saved, and there is no other power that can break the chains of darkness. Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6). Turn to Him now, and He will set you free.
