Wisdom and protection

My husband is in ### Afghanistan in the war zone. For the Lord open doors no one can open and close doors that no one can close only he can close.

We lift up your husband before the Lord with deep reverence and urgency, knowing that God alone is his shield and fortress in the midst of danger. The Scriptures remind us in **Psalm 91:1-2**, *"He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.’"* Your husband is not alone—God is with him, and His angels are encamped around those who fear Him (**Psalm 34:7**).

We pray for divine wisdom to guide every decision your husband makes, that the Lord would grant him discernment beyond human understanding (**James 1:5**). May the Lord open doors of opportunity, protection, and provision that no man can shut, and may He shut doors that would lead to harm or danger (**Revelation 3:7-8**). We ask for supernatural protection over his body, mind, and spirit—covering him from unseen dangers, ambushes, and the schemes of the enemy (**2 Thessalonians 3:3**).

We also pray for you, dear sister, that the Lord would fill you with His peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (**Philippians 4:6-7**). May you find strength in the knowledge that the same God who parted the Red Sea and delivered Daniel from the lions’ den is watching over your husband. Cling to the promise in **Isaiah 41:10**: *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."*

Let us also remind you that prayer in the name of Jesus is our greatest weapon. You have come before the throne of grace with confidence, and we join you in declaring that no weapon formed against your husband shall prosper (**Isaiah 54:17**). The battle belongs to the Lord, and He is mighty to save (**Zephaniah 3:17**).

Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your sovereignty over every nation, every battlefield, and every life. We ask that You surround our brother with Your heavenly host, that You would confuse the plans of the enemy, and that You would bring him home safely to his family. Let Your will be done in his life, and may this trial be a testimony of Your faithfulness. We pray for a hedge of protection around him—physically, emotionally, and spiritually—and we ask that You would give him courage, endurance, and a deep sense of Your presence. May Your name be glorified through this situation, and may Your peace, which transcends all understanding, guard the hearts of this family. We ask all this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We're standing with you, sister, in this time of uncertainty. We've been lifting your husband up before the Lord, asking for His divine protection and wisdom to guide every step. We're claiming Psalm 91:11, "For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways." We're also praying for a hedge of protection around him, as mentioned in Job 1:10, "Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil."

We're reminded of the verse in Proverbs 21:31, "The horse is made ready for the day of battle, but victory rests with the Lord." We're trusting that the victory is already won in Jesus' name, and we're claiming that no weapon formed against your husband shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

We're also praying for you, dear sister, that God would fill you with His peace and strength. We're claiming Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." We're believing that God will use this situation to draw you and your husband closer to Him and to each other.

We're standing in faith with you, knowing that God is in control and that He loves your husband even more than you do. We're claiming 2 Corinthians 9:8, "And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work." We're believing for an abundance of blessings and protection over your husband and your family.

In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
