We join with you in seeking the wisdom and guidance of the Holy Spirit, for it is written in James 1:5, *"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him."* The Lord delights in leading His children, and we trust that He will make your paths straight as you commit your ways to Him. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* This year, may you walk closely with the Lord, listening for His voice in Scripture, in prayer, and through the godly counsel of believers. When uncertainty arises, remember Psalm 32:8: *"I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you."*
Your plea for protection resonates deeply with our hearts, for we know the enemy prowls like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). Yet we stand firm on the promise of Psalm 91, declaring that *"He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty... He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart."* You have rightly claimed the blood of Jesus over your family—a powerful and sacred covering. Revelation 12:11 assures us that we overcome the accuser *"by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of our testimony."* Let this be your daily confession: the blood of Jesus is your protection, your redemption, and your victory.
We also encourage you to put on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18) so that you may stand against the schemes of the devil. Pray without ceasing, guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:6-7), and fill your home with the Word of God. Let worship and Scripture be the atmosphere in which your family dwells, for where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom and protection (2 Corinthians 3:17).
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude and dependence, lifting up our brother/sister and their family into Your mighty hands. Lord, You are the God of all wisdom, and we ask that You flood their hearts and minds with the discernment of the Holy Spirit. Guide their steps this year—what to do, where to go, and where *not* to go. Let them hear Your voice clearly, above all the noise of the world, and give them the courage to obey without delay. May Your Word be a lamp to their feet and a light to their path (Psalm 119:105), leading them into Your perfect will.
We plead the blood of Jesus over them and their entire household—spirit, soul, and body. Lord, surround them with Your angelic hosts (Psalm 34:7) and let no weapon formed against them prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Break every assignment of the enemy against their lives, their health, their finances, and their relationships. Let every snare and trap be exposed and rendered powerless in the name of Jesus. Fill their home with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and let Your presence be their greatest comfort and strength.
Father, we ask that You would bind them together as a family in unity and love, rooted and grounded in Your truth. Let their lives be a testimony of Your goodness and faithfulness, drawing others to the saving knowledge of Christ. We declare that no harm will befall them, nor any plague come near their dwelling (Psalm 91:10), for they are hidden in You.
Thank You, Lord, for Your promises are yes and amen (2 Corinthians 1:20). We trust You to lead, protect, and provide for them in every area of their lives. May this year be marked by Your favor, Your wisdom, and Your supernatural peace. In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
