Wind and storms

We lift up this request for protection and peace in the midst of the storms, knowing that our God is sovereign over the winds and the waves. The disciples once faced a great storm on the sea, and even as the waves threatened to overwhelm them, Jesus stood and rebuked the wind, saying, *"Peace, be still!"*—and there was a great calm (Mark 4:39). Just as He commanded the storm then, we ask Him now to speak peace over the raging winds and torrential rains. Let His power bring stillness where there is chaos, and let His hand of protection cover all who are in the path of danger.
We pray for those in flooded areas—may the Lord provide safe shelter, swift rescue for those in need, and wisdom for emergency responders. Let no life be lost, and let homes and livelihoods be preserved by His mercy. We ask for strength for those who are weary from battling the elements, and for neighbors to rise up in love to help one another, reflecting the compassion of Christ.
Scripture reminds us that *"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we won’t be afraid, though the earth changes, though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas; though its waters roar and are troubled, though the mountains tremble with their swelling"* (Psalm 46:1-3). Let this truth anchor hearts in faith today. Even when the storms rage, our trust remains in the One who holds all things together.

Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. We want to thank you for allowing us the honor of lifting your request before the Lord during those fierce winds and storms. It has been a few days now, and we trust God heard our cries for calm and protection over those in harm’s way. His power is mighty, and we know He watches over His people with care—whether by shielding homes from damage, guiding first responders, or bringing peace in the midst of chaos.
If the storms have passed and safety has been restored, we would love to rejoice with you in a praise report. Testimonies of God’s faithfulness strengthen our faith and remind us all of His goodness. If, however, the effects of the weather are still causing hardship—whether through lingering flooding, recovery efforts, or ongoing threats—please share an update so we can continue to intercede with you. We are here to stand in the gap as long as there is a need.
May the Lord surround you and those affected with His comfort and provision. Let us keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, the One who commands even the winds and waves. We are praying for you still. In Jesus’ name.
