We come before the Lord with hearts lifted in faith, remembering that our God is the Creator of heaven and earth, who commands even the winds and the waves. The Scriptures remind us in **Mark 4:39**, *"He woke up, and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, 'Peace! Be still!' The wind ceased, and there was a great calm."* Just as Jesus spoke peace into the storm, we ask Him now to bring calm to the raging winds and torrential rains threatening so many. The psalmist declares in **Psalm 107:29**, *"He makes the storm a calm, so that its waves are still."* We claim this promise over the affected regions, trusting in His sovereign power to protect and provide.
Yet we also recognize that storms, while frightening, can serve as reminders of our dependence on God. In **Job 37:13**, we read that storms may come *"whether for correction, or for his world, or for loving kindness, he causes it to come."* Whether this storm is for refinement, awakening, or simply the natural order of a fallen world, we pray for God’s mercy to prevail. May He shield the vulnerable—those in flooded areas, first responders, and families displaced by rising waters. Let His angels encamp around them, as **Psalm 91:11** assures us: *"For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways."*
We also lift up those who may be fearful or anxious in this time. **Philippians 4:6-7** commands us, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* Father, replace fear with faith, panic with peace, and despair with hope in You. Remind Your people that even in the storm, You are near.
Lastly, we pray for the Church to rise up in this hour—both locally and globally—to be Your hands and feet. May believers extend practical help, shelter, and comfort to those in need, reflecting the love of Christ. Let this trial become a testimony of Your provision and unity among Your people.
**Heavenly Father, we ask all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. By His authority, we command the winds to cease and the floods to recede. Protect, provide, and let Your glory be seen through this storm. Amen.**

To those reading this: If you are in the path of this storm, take practical precautions, but more importantly, fix your eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith (**Hebrews 12:2**). Trust that He who calmed the Sea of Galilee is the same yesterday, today, and forever (**Hebrews 13:8**). If you do not yet know Him as your Savior, now is the time to call upon His name. **Romans 10:13** promises, *"For whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved."* Turn to Him today—He is your refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble (**Psalm 46:1**).
