will singing hallelujah help on Sunday but treating ### worse

Faithful Servant
will singing hallelujah help on Sunday but treating citizens worse by oppression from Monday to Friday will Jesus recuse such people and save this people if they don't repent. Now their pretentious act the minister are doing on every Sunday in church and don't repent and continue for years already and deceive us by saying it is creating good job for ### but ### fresh grad local unemployed and the prime minister is a Christian but is a divorcee himself and promoted the repeal of ### (gay law). And now because of wanting to boost the population bring in foreigners to boost the futility rate end up locals have no jobs and kept oppressing us while foreigner have no job, complain that this is not right but fall to death ears and the government continue to oppress however they like.

We hear the deep cry of your heart over the hypocrisy and injustice you are witnessing, and we grieve with you over the unrepentant sin and oppression that masquerades as righteousness. The Word of God is clear: the Lord despises lips that honor Him while hearts are far from Him, and He will not be mocked by those who claim His name yet walk in wickedness. Let us turn to Scripture to expose the truth and seek God’s justice and mercy in this matter.

The prophet Isaiah declares, *"This people draws near to me with their mouth, and honors me with their lips, but they have removed their heart far from me, and their fear of me is a commandment of men which has been taught"* (Isaiah 29:13, WEB). Jesus Himself rebuked the religious leaders of His day, saying, *"Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you tithe mint, dill, and cumin, and have left undone the weightier matters of the law: justice, mercy, and faith. But you ought to have done these, and not to have left the other undone"* (Matthew 23:23, WEB). How much more grievous is it when those in authority—especially those who claim the name of Christ—oppress the people, deceive with empty words, and promote laws that defy God’s holy standards?

You have rightly identified the sin of hypocrisy in leaders who sing praises on Sunday yet oppress citizens the rest of the week. This is an abomination before the Lord. The apostle James warns, *"Don’t be deceived, my beloved brothers. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom can be no variation nor turning shadow. Of his own will he gave birth to us by the word of truth, that we should be a kind of first fruits of his creatures. So, my beloved brothers, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger; for the anger of man doesn’t produce the righteousness of God. Therefore, putting away all filthiness and overflowing of wickedness, receive with humility the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. But be doers of the word, and not only hearers, deluding your own selves"* (James 1:16-22, WEB). These leaders are deluding themselves if they think their empty worship will cover their sins.

Moreover, the promotion of ungodly laws—such as the repeal of laws against homosexuality—is a direct rebellion against God’s design for marriage and morality. Scripture is unequivocal: *"Don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God’s Kingdom? Don’t be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortionists, will inherit God’s Kingdom"* (1 Corinthians 6:9-10, WEB). Leaders who endorse such sin are leading their nations into judgment, not blessing. The fact that the prime minister is a divorcee and promotes ungodliness only compounds the problem, for God’s standard for leaders is higher, not lower: *"A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, temperate, sober-minded, of good behavior, given to hospitality, apt to teach"* (1 Timothy 3:2, WEB).

As for the oppression of locals while favoring foreigners, this too is an injustice that God sees and will judge. The Lord commands His people, *"You shall not oppress an alien, since you yourselves know the feelings of an alien, for you also were aliens in the land of Egypt"* (Exodus 23:9, WEB). Yet this does not mean neglecting or oppressing your own people. The leaders’ actions reveal a heart of greed and selfish ambition, not the love and justice of Christ. The prophet Jeremiah warns, *"Woe to the shepherds who destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! says Yahweh. Therefore thus says Yahweh, the God of Israel, against the shepherds who feed my people: You have scattered my flock, driven them away, and have not visited them. Behold, I will visit on you the evil of your doings, says Yahweh"* (Jeremiah 23:1-2, WEB).

Now, let us address the most critical question: **Will Jesus rescue such people if they do not repent?** The answer is a resounding *no*. Scripture is clear that without repentance, there is no forgiveness, no salvation, and no escape from judgment. Jesus Himself said, *"Unless you repent, you will all likewise perish"* (Luke 13:3, WEB). The apostle Peter preached, *"Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, so that there may come times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord"* (Acts 3:19, WEB). There is no salvation apart from repentance, and no amount of singing, preaching, or religious activity can replace a broken and contrite heart before God.

For those who persist in hypocrisy and oppression, the Word of God issues a stern warning: *"God is not mocked. For whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption. But he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life"* (Galatians 6:7-8, WEB). The day is coming when every secret thing will be brought to light, and every hypocrite will stand before the righteous Judge. *"Nothing is hidden that will not be revealed; nor anything secret that will not be known and come to light"* (Luke 8:17, WEB).

Yet even now, we are called to pray for these leaders—not that they would escape judgment, but that they would repent and turn to God in genuine faith. Let us intercede for them, for the people they oppress, and for the nation that suffers under their ungodly rule.

**Our Prayer:**

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, grieving over the hypocrisy, oppression, and unrepentant sin we see in those who claim Your name yet walk in darkness. Lord, You are just and righteous, and Your eyes are too pure to approve evil. We ask that You expose the deeds of darkness and bring conviction to the hearts of these leaders. Let them not escape the piercing truth of Your Word, which declares that *"the soul who sins shall die"* (Ezekiel 18:20, WEB), but also that *"if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he has committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live; he shall not die"* (Ezekiel 18:21, WEB).

Lord Jesus, we pray for the prime minister and all those in authority who have strayed from Your truth. Softening their hearts, Lord, and grant them the gift of repentance. Let them see the error of their ways—the hypocrisy of their worship, the cruelty of their oppression, and the rebellion of their laws. May they fall on their knees before You, broken and contrite, seeking Your forgiveness and mercy. Remind them that *"to whom much is given, from him much will be required"* (Luke 12:48, WEB), and that leaders who mislead Your people will face a stricter judgment.

Father, we also lift up the people who are suffering under this oppression—the unemployed, the marginalized, the locals who are being overlooked and mistreated. Comfort them, Lord, and provide for their needs. Raise up godly leaders who will govern with justice, mercy, and integrity. Give Your people discernment to see through the deception and courage to stand for righteousness, even in the face of opposition.

We pray for the church in this nation, that she would not be silent but would rise up as a voice of truth and righteousness. May pastors and believers alike refuse to compromise with sin, even if it costs them. Strengthen them to preach the full counsel of Your Word, including the call to repentance and holiness. Let them remember that *"we don’t wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places"* (Ephesians 6:12, WEB). Equip them to stand firm in the faith, clad in the armor of God.

Lord, we ask for Your justice to roll down like waters and Your righteousness like a mighty stream (Amos 5:24). Bring an end to the corruption, the oppression, and the ungodly laws that defile this land. Let Your kingdom come and Your will be done in this nation as it is in heaven.

Finally, Father, we pray for our brother or sister who has brought this request before us. Comfort them in their distress and fill them with Your peace. Give them wisdom to know how to respond, whether it is to speak out, to pray, or to act in ways that honor You. Remind them that You are sovereign over all things, and that no injustice escapes Your notice. You are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who will one day set all things right.

We ask all these things in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone has the power to save, to judge, and to redeem. Amen.

Dear friend, we join you in grieving over the hypocrisy and oppression you've witnessed. It's heartbreaking to see leaders who claim God's name yet act in ways that defy His righteousness. Let's pray together for justice, mercy, and repentance.

Convict them of their sin, Lord, and draw them to the foot of the cross, broken and contrite.

Be a Prayer Warrior: “Praying for others”

We want to thank you for allowing us the sacred honor of lifting your heartfelt concerns before the Lord these past few days. Your burden for your nation—its leaders, its people, and the deep injustices you’ve described—has weighed heavily on our hearts as we’ve prayed. We’ve joined you in crying out for true repentance among those in authority, for the exposure of deception, and for God’s righteous intervention where oppression has taken root. Your passion for truth and your grief over the suffering of your people reflect the heart of Christ, who wept over Jerusalem and longed for its leaders to turn from hypocrisy to humility.

We know the weight of waiting when answers seem delayed, especially when the brokenness around us appears to deepen rather than heal. But we are encouraged by the knowledge that our God is not indifferent to the cries of His people. He sees the affliction of the unemployed, the manipulation of the vulnerable, and the hollow worship of leaders who honor Him with their lips but whose hearts are far from Him. We’ve prayed that the Lord would shake the foundations of pretense in your government, that He would convict the prime minister and all in authority of their need for genuine repentance, and that He would raise up godly voices—even among the church—to speak boldly against injustice.

If you’ve seen even the smallest shift—a softened heart, a sudden opportunity for truth to be heard, or a glimmer of hope for the oppressed—we urge you to share it with us as a praise report. Sometimes God moves in ways we don’t immediately recognize, and your testimony could ignite faith in others who are praying for their own nations. But if the burden remains heavy and the situation unchanged, we want you to know we are not weary of standing with you. Post your request again, and let us continue to storm the gates of heaven together, asking God to rend the heavens and come down (Isaiah 64:1). Let us pray that the church in your nation would rise up in unity, that the Spirit would expose every hidden motive, and that the Lord would turn the hearts of the people back to Him in desperation and faith.

We are also lifting up your own heart in this, that you would not grow discouraged or bitter but would be filled with the Holy Spirit’s power to persist in prayer and righteous action. Remember that Jesus, our Great Intercessor, is at the right hand of the Father, advocating for justice and mercy on behalf of His people. He is not blind to the suffering of the locals, the deception in high places, or the spiritual warfare behind these struggles. Cling to the promise that “the Lord works righteousness and justice for all the oppressed” (Psalm 103:6).

May God strengthen you with His mighty power as you continue to seek His face. May He grant you supernatural peace even as you wait, and may He move in ways that leave no doubt He has heard the cries of His people.

We are praying in Jesus Name.
