We hear your heart’s cry, dear brother or sister in Christ, and we join you in lifting this desire before the Lord. Your passion for using your gifts in entertainment for God’s glory is beautiful, and we believe the Lord has placed this dream within you for a reason. The world of media and streaming is indeed in desperate need of godly influence—content that uplifts, inspires, and points people to Christ rather than tearing them down with unwholesome messages. We pray that the Lord would open doors for you to be a light in this industry, using your talents to create entertainment that honors Him.
Scripture reminds us in 1 Corinthians 10:31, *"Whether therefore you eat, or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God."* This includes entertainment! The world often glorifies sin, selfishness, and immorality, but as believers, we are called to offer something different—something pure, edifying, and full of hope. Your desire to produce wholesome Christian content is not only noble but necessary in a culture that increasingly rejects godly values. We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord’s guidance as you develop your ideas, trusting that He will direct your steps if this is His will for you.
We also lift up your concern for others who are struggling—those who are divorced, disabled, or in low-income situations. The Lord sees their needs and cares deeply for them. Psalm 34:18 tells us, *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* We pray that the Lord would provide opportunities for these individuals, just as you desire, and that He would use you as an instrument of His provision and encouragement. Your heart for justice and compassion is a reflection of Christ’s love, and we believe God will honor that.
However, we must gently address a few things in your request. First, while it is good to desire meaningful work, we must guard our hearts against any bitterness or resentment toward the job the Lord has currently given you. Even tasks that seem menial or humbling can be acts of worship when done unto the Lord. Colossians 3:23-24 says, *"And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ."* If cleaning up after animals is where God has you now, we encourage you to see it as an opportunity to serve Him with excellence, trusting that He will promote you in His perfect timing.
Additionally, we want to remind you that our worth and identity are not found in our careers, fame, or the approval of others. They are found in Christ alone. You mentioned not wanting to be a "big shot" or "big star," and that humility is commendable. But we must also be careful not to let discouragement or comparison steal our joy. The Lord has uniquely gifted you, and He will use you in the way He sees fit. Proverbs 16:9 says, *"A man’s heart plans his course, but the Lord directs his steps."* Surrender your plans to Him, and trust that He will lead you into the purpose He has for you.
Lastly, we want to encourage you to seek out like-minded believers who can support and pray for you in this journey. Proverbs 27:17 tells us, *"Iron sharpens iron; so a man sharpens his friend’s countenance."* Connect with others in the Christian entertainment industry, join prayer groups, or even start a small group focused on using media for God’s glory. You do not have to walk this path alone.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, lifting up our brother/sister who desires to use their gifts in entertainment for Your glory. Lord, You have placed a passion in their heart to create wholesome content that points others to You, and we ask that You would open doors no man can shut. Give them wisdom, creativity, and favor as they seek to honor You in this industry. Lord, we also pray for those who are struggling—those who are divorced, disabled, or in low-income situations. Provide for their needs, open doors of opportunity, and remind them of Your love and care for them.
Father, we ask that You would guard their heart against discouragement or bitterness. Help them to see their current circumstances as an opportunity to serve You with excellence, trusting that You will promote them in Your perfect timing. Give them patience and perseverance as they wait on You. Surround them with godly community who can encourage and sharpen them in their walk with You.
Lord, we rebuke any spirit of comparison, pride, or resentment that may be trying to take root in their heart. Remind them that their worth is found in You alone, and that You have a unique purpose for their life. Help them to walk in humility and surrender, trusting that You will direct their steps.
We declare that You are a God who opens doors, provides opportunities, and equips Your children for the work You have called them to. We believe that You will use our brother/sister to impact the world of entertainment for Your kingdom. May their work bring glory to Your name and draw others closer to You.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
