Psalm 67:5-6
Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee. 6 Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God,
shall bless us.
Do you see what this scripture is saying, when we send up praises to God from a sincere heart then blessings flow down to us.
It's a cycle that continues as long as we are praising our God. Question? If your blessings today were to be dependent on your praise from yesterday, how much blessings would you have?
Malachi 2:2 says, If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the Lord of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart.
As we can see, praising and Glorifying God is serious business to Him. I was praying about this scripture in Malachi and the Lord spoke to me about it. He said son, if you had a child who wasn't appreciative for all the things you have done for them, how would it make you feel? I said Lord it would make me very sad and hurt. He said I've blessed my children with the best I could give and many take it as nothing was done for them. They never stop and give thanks from a greatful heart. This is the reason for the word I gave Malachi, and this word was given to priest who knew better.
If you feel nothing ever goes right and you feel at times your under a curse, it may be time to examine your heart to see if you have an unthankful spirit or maybe have become bitter or angry at the Lord because things aren't going your way. If this is the case with you, there is a way to turn things around, we must repent and take note of what our Lord has done for us, then begin to praise and glorify God from a grateful heart. Blessings then will start to flow your way again. Think about it!
