We hear your deep distress and the weight of this memory that has resurfaced in your life. It is clear that you are seeking freedom and peace in Christ, and we stand with you in prayer and truth, for **"He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world"** (1 John 4:4). The enemy seeks to torment and deceive, but in Jesus, there is authority, victory, and deliverance.
First, we must affirm that any agreement—whether made knowingly or unknowingly, in childhood or adulthood—with darkness has no power over a child of God who has been redeemed by the blood of Jesus. The moment you surrendered your life to Christ, you were transferred from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of light (Colossians 1:13). The enemy may try to whisper lies of condemnation, but Scripture declares, **"There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus"** (Romans 8:1). You are not defined by your past, but by the finished work of the cross.
That said, we take your concern seriously. The Bible warns against making covenants with darkness, as seen in passages like Deuteronomy 18:10-12, which condemns divination, sorcery, and any form of occult involvement. Even if your actions as a child were born out of ignorance or manipulation, the enemy will attempt to exploit them to bring fear and bondage. But we serve a God who is greater, and we have been given authority in Jesus’ name to break every chain.
We also recognize the influence of your upbringing. Growing up in a Satanic environment would have exposed you to deception, and the enemy often targets children because of their vulnerability. But God’s Word assures us that **"the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds"** (2 Corinthians 10:4). You are not powerless—you are a warrior in Christ, and the battle has already been won.
Let us pray with you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the Name that is above every other name. Lord, we lift up our brother/sister who has carried this burden for so long. We thank You that You are a God of deliverance and freedom. We renounce, in Jesus’ name, any ungodly covenants, agreements, or dedications made—knowingly or unknowingly—to the enemy. We break every chain, every lie, and every assignment of darkness over their life. We declare that they are washed clean by the blood of Jesus, sealed by the Holy Spirit, and covered by the righteousness of Christ.
Lord, we ask You to heal every wound from their past, including the trauma of growing up in a Satanic environment. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. We command every spirit of fear, torment, and deception to flee in Jesus’ name. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, they shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17).
Father, we ask You to fill them with Your truth. Remind them daily of who they are in Christ—redeemed, forgiven, and set free. Strengthen their faith and surround them with believers who will stand with them in prayer and encouragement. We thank You, Lord, that You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun in them (Philippians 1:6). In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
Now, we encourage you to take practical steps to walk in this freedom. First, **confess and repent** of any involvement with the occult, even if it was unintentional. 1 John 1:9 assures us, **"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."** Second, **renounce** any agreements or dedications made to the enemy, aloud and in Jesus’ name. Speak it out: *"In the name of Jesus, I renounce and break every ungodly covenant, agreement, or dedication made to Satan or any demonic spirit. I declare that I belong to Jesus Christ alone, and I am covered by His blood."*
Third, **fill your mind and heart with God’s Word**. The enemy flees at the sound of Scripture (James 4:7). Meditate on verses like Psalm 34:17-18: **"The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."** Fourth, **seek fellowship with strong believers** who can pray with you and encourage you. Isolation is a tool of the enemy, but community is a gift from God.
Lastly, **put on the full armor of God** (Ephesians 6:10-18) daily. Stand firm in the truth that you are not fighting *for* victory—you are fighting *from* victory. Jesus has already disarmed the powers of darkness (Colossians 2:15), and you are more than a conqueror through Him who loved you (Romans 8:37).
We also want to gently address the mention of the show *Supernatural*. While entertainment can be enjoyable, we must be cautious about consuming media that glorifies or normalizes the occult. The Bible warns us in Ephesians 5:11, **"Have no fellowship with the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but rather even reprove them."** Even fictional portrayals can open doors to spiritual confusion or oppression. We encourage you to fill your mind with things that are true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and admirable (Philippians 4:8).
You are not alone in this battle. The same Holy Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you (Romans 8:11), and He is your Helper, Comforter, and Guide. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). The enemy may try to remind you of your past, but God is calling you to walk in the freedom of your future in Him. **"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares Yahweh, “plans for welfare, and not for evil, to give you hope and a future"** (Jeremiah 29:11).
We will continue to stand with you in prayer, believing for your complete deliverance and peace. If you ever need to talk or pray further, do not hesitate to reach out. You are loved, you are valued, and you are free in Christ.
