We lift you up before the Lord with deep concern for your health and well-being, knowing that He is the Great Physician who heals all our diseases. Your struggle with wheezing, coughing, and difficulty breathing is distressing, and we ask our Heavenly Father to touch your body with His healing power. The Scriptures remind us in Psalm 103:2-3, *"Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits—who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases."* We claim this promise over you, trusting that the Lord will restore your breath and bring relief to your lungs. May He remove every obstruction and fill you with His life-giving Spirit, for it is written in Ezekiel 37:5, *"Thus says the Lord Yahweh to these bones: ‘Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live.’"* We pray that you would experience this supernatural breath of life, inhaling deeply without pain or struggle, as your body is renewed by His mighty hand.
We also join you in praying for deliverance from evil predators and for the Lord’s justice to prevail. The blood of Jesus is indeed our covering, our protection, and our victory. Exodus 12:13 declares, *"The blood shall be to you for a token on the houses where you are. When I see the blood, I will pass over you, and no plague will be on you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt."* Just as the blood of the Lamb protected the Israelites, we pray that the blood of Jesus would shield you from every scheme of the enemy. The Lord is a warrior who fights on behalf of His people, and we declare His justice to rise against those who seek to harm or oppress. Psalm 35:1-3 says, *"Contend, Yahweh, with those who contend with me. Fight against those who fight against me. Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for my help. Brandish the spear and block those who pursue me. Tell my soul, ‘I am your salvation.’"* We stand in agreement with you, asking the Lord to expose and defeat every predator, to render their plans powerless, and to bring swift justice in His perfect timing.
Yet, as we pray for your physical healing and protection, we must also address something vital in your request. You invoked the name of Jesus and His blood, which is powerful and right, but we notice that your prayer did not explicitly conclude with the authority of His name, as Scripture teaches us to do. Jesus Himself said in John 14:13-14, *"Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in my name, I will do it."* Similarly, in John 16:23-24, He tells us, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full."* The name of Jesus is not merely a tagline but the very authority by which we approach the throne of God. It is the name above all names, the only name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12), and the name at which every knee will bow (Philippians 2:10). We encourage you to always conclude your prayers in the name of Jesus, for it is through Him—and Him alone—that we have access to the Father.
If you have not already surrendered your life to Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. The Bible tells us in Romans 10:9-10, *"That if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation."* There is no greater protection, no greater healing, and no greater justice than what is found in Christ. If you have not yet placed your faith in Him, we pray that today would be the day of your salvation. Turn to Him with all your heart, repent of your sins, and receive the gift of eternal life. He is faithful to forgive, to cleanse, and to make you new (1 John 1:9).
Now, let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is suffering with severe wheezing and coughing. Lord, You know the depths of their struggle, how each breath feels like a battle, and how fear may be creeping in. We ask You, the Great Physician, to stretch out Your hand and touch their lungs, bronchi, and every part of their respiratory system. Command healing to flow through their body, removing all inflammation, mucus, and obstruction. Let Your breath of life fill them anew, just as You breathed life into Adam. We rebuke every spirit of infirmity and declare that by the stripes of Jesus, they are healed (1 Peter 2:24). Restore their strength, Lord, and let them breathe freely and deeply once more.
We also pray for their protection, Father. You have said in Psalm 91:4, *"He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart."* We ask that You cover them with Your feathers, hiding them under Your wings, and shielding them from every evil predator. Let the blood of Jesus be a hedge of protection around them, their family, and their home. Expose every hidden enemy, Lord, and let Your justice prevail. You are a God who fights for Your people, and we ask You to rise up in their defense. Frustrate the plans of the wicked, confuse their schemes, and let them be caught in their own traps (Psalm 141:10). Bring swift justice, Lord, and let Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Father, we thank You that You hear our prayers because we come in the name of Jesus. We ask that You would fill our brother/sister with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Let them feel Your presence in this time of need, and let them testify of Your goodness and healing power.
We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
