If you choose to escape Hell, you must do several things:
First, you must believe you are a sinner. “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” (Romans 3:23)
Secondly, you must believe you deserve to go to Hell. “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:” (Romans 5:12)
The third thing that you must do is to repent of your sins. “…As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but the wicked turn from his way and live…” (Ezekiel 33:11).
You must also believe Jesus died to pay for your sins. “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)
Finally, you need to trust Jesus to be your Savior. “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:” (John 1:12). “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” (Romans 10:9)
YOUR BIGGEST DECISION
Jesus has already “Paid in Full” the price for your eternal life. However, He leaves the final decisions entirely up to you. So what will you do with Jesus Christ? Will you receive Him, or will you reject Him? Jesus gives you this promise: “He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.” (John 3:36)
You may receive Christ this moment by praying this prayer right now:
“Dear Jesus, forgive me of all my sins and save my soul. I repent of all my sins and ask you to come into my heart. I believe you are my Lord and that you were raised from the dead. I ask that you lead me, protect me, and guide me all the days of my life. Thank you for hearing my prayer and saving my soul. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.”
If you have invited Jesus Christ into your life, the Bible says you now have eternal life. You should now live for Him and allow Him to change your life.
“He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.” 1 John 5:12
This is just the beginning of a wonderful new life in Christ. To deepen this relationship you should:
- Read your Bible every day to get to know Christ better.
- Talk to God in prayer every day.
- Be water baptized.
- Tell others about Christ.
- Worship, fellowship, and serve with other Christians in a church were Christ is preached.
- As Christ’s representative in a needy world, demonstrate your new life by your love and concern for others.
God bless you.
