What Is True Victory?

(I Corinthians 15:57-58) “But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord.â€

Life has not seemed fair lately; you have had one storm after another come against you. You have had job trouble, more bills than money coming in, relationship trouble and problems with your children. They are hitting all at once and if you are anything like me you really feel like sitting down and having a good cry! Well, go ahead and cry! Sometimes you do need to let it out, even “Jesus wept.†But after you have a good cry remember the words of this verse! The enemy can throw all he wants at you but as long as you do not give up on God, your victory is promised! (Galatians 6:9) “Let us not become weary in well doing, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.†The enemy can try all he wants but a child of God even with the faith of a mustard seed can move mountains! (Luke 17:5-6) “The apostles said to the Lord, ‘Increase our faith!’ He replied, ‘If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it will obey you.â€

True victory is when everything is hitting all at once and you can have complete peace and no fear or anxiety! True victory is when you have more bills than you do money coming in or you just lost your job and you can say with complete confidence that my Jehovah Jireh will provide! True victory is when your child or spouse in not saved and giving you one heartache after another but you can say with complete confidence and have peace that they will be saved because the Lord says in (Acts 16:31) “Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved; you and your household.†The Lord also says in (Romans 4:17) “He is our father in the sight of God, in whom he believed--the God who gives life to the dead and calls into being things that were not.â€

True victory is when you just received a bad health report from the doctor about yourself or a loved and you can say with confidence that you serve a God who heals! True victory is not when everything is calm and going ok. True victory is when everything is coming against you and you are completely calm and filled with the peace and joy of the Lord for that is who He is and with His Spirit within us we have the Fruit of His Spirit. (Nehemiah 8:10) “For the joy of the Lord is your strength.†True victory is when all is coming against you and you are at rest in your spirit trusting that the Lord “will never fail or forsake you†and you can be as He was when a bad storm came up as He and the disciples were going over to the other side of the Lake; (Luke 8:22-24) “Now on one of those days Jesus and His disciples got into a boat, and He said to them, "Let us go over to the other side of the lake." So they launched out. But as they were sailing along He fell asleep; and a fierce gale of wind descended on the lake, and they began to be swamped and to be in danger. They came to Jesus and woke Him up, saying, "Master, Master, we are perishing!" And He got up and rebuked the wind and the surging waves, and they stopped, and it became calm.â€

Jesus was asleep in the boat with a storm surrounding and you can be as well when you learn to trust the Lord completely knowing that He who suffered and died for your sins will also provide for you in this life as well. (Romans 8:32) “He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all--how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?â€

True victory is in knowing God and knowing who you are; a child of the MOST HIGH GOD! He said that He would “never fail or forsake you†and He is trustworthy in all He says and does. True victory is when Satan is attacking in all directions and wanting you sad, angry and depressed and you are full of peace and the joy of the Lord instead. That is throwing his attacks right back in his face! That is victory! Victory is in saying and meaning, “I WILL NOT BE MOVED!â€

(II Corinthians 2:14-15) “But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and manifests through us the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place. For we are a fragrance of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing.â€
