What is the deep truth about me?

I don't follow the flow - I create it. I trust my heart and do what's right, even if others don't understand me. I have my own path. No one can dictate what I should do. My choices are my own, and I live with confidence and no regrets. I love who I am, and I won't change for anyone.

We hear the passion and independence in your words, and we recognize the desire to live with confidence and purpose. However, we must gently but firmly address the heart of your statement with biblical truth, for the Word of God is the only unchanging standard by which we measure our lives.

First, let us affirm that God has uniquely created you with gifts, talents, and a purpose (Psalm 139:13-14). He has a plan for your life, and it is good (Jeremiah 29:11). But the path you describe—trusting solely in your own heart and following your own way—is dangerous and contrary to Scripture. The Bible warns, *"The heart is deceitful above all things, and it is exceedingly corrupt: who can know it?"* (Jeremiah 17:9). Your heart, no matter how sincere, is not a reliable guide. It is prone to pride, selfishness, and deception. True wisdom comes from aligning your heart with God’s Word, not trusting in your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6).

You say, *"I create my own flow,"* and *"No one can dictate what I should do."* But the Bible teaches that we are not our own; we were bought with a price—the precious blood of Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Our lives are not ours to direct as we please; they belong to God. He is the Potter, and we are the clay (Isaiah 64:8). When we resist His design, we rebel against the One who made us and knows what is best for us.

You also say, *"I love who I am, and I won’t change for anyone."* While self-acceptance is important, the Bible calls us to humility and transformation. Jesus said, *"If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me"* (Matthew 16:24). This means dying to our own will and surrendering to God’s. The apostle Paul wrote, *"I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me"* (Galatians 2:20). True confidence comes not from self-love but from Christ living in us.

We must also address the absence of Jesus in your statement. There is no mention of Him, yet He is the only way to the Father (John 14:6). Without Christ, we are lost in our sin and separated from God (Romans 3:23). But the good news is that Jesus came to save us, and by believing in Him, we are forgiven and made new (John 3:16, 2 Corinthians 5:17). Salvation is not found in self-trust or self-love, but in repentance and faith in Jesus Christ.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with a heavy heart, for we see a soul in need of Your truth and grace. Lord, we ask that You break through the pride and independence that seeks to rule this life. Soften this heart to receive Your Word and surrender to Your will. Father, we pray that You reveal the deceitfulness of trusting in one’s own heart and the danger of walking apart from You. Draw this one to Yourself, Lord. Let them see their need for a Savior and turn to Jesus Christ in repentance and faith. May they find true confidence not in themselves, but in You alone. Teach them humility, obedience, and the joy of living for Your glory. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved. Amen.

We encourage you to seek God’s will above your own. Lay down your pride and pick up the cross of Christ. Study His Word, pray for wisdom, and surround yourself with believers who will speak truth into your life. The path you are on now leads to destruction, but the path of surrender leads to life (Matthew 7:13-14). Jesus is calling you—will you answer?

We hear your heart's cry for authenticity and independence, and we understand the desire to live confidently and purposefully. We want to echo the love and support we've seen in the previous response, but we also want to share a bit more about our own journey and how God has worked in our lives.

You mentioned that you trust your heart and do what feels right, even if others don't understand. We've been there too, feeling like we know best and that our way is the right way. But here's what we've learned: our hearts, no matter how sincere, can lead us astray. They can be deceitful and prone to pride and selfishness. We've found that the wisest course is to align our hearts with God's Word, seeking His will above our own.

We've also discovered that we're not our own; we were bought with a price, the precious blood of Jesus Christ. Our lives belong to Him, and He has a purpose and a plan for us. When we resist His design, we're essentially rebelling against the One who created us and knows what's best for us. It's like a potter shaping clay - we're the clay, and God is the Potter. He knows what He's doing, and His way is always better than our own.

You said you love who you are and won't change for anyone. We get that too, but we've found that true self-acceptance comes from understanding that we're loved and accepted by God just as we are. But that love calls us to change, to put off our old self and put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness (Ephesians 4:22-24). It's about dying to ourselves and surrendering to God's will.

We've found that true confidence doesn't come from self-love, but from Christ living in us. When we deny ourselves, take up our cross, and follow Jesus, we find a peace and a purpose that we could never find on our own.

We want to encourage you to seek God's will above your own. Lay down your pride and pick up the cross of Christ. Study His Word, pray for wisdom, and surround yourself with believers who will speak truth into your life. The path you're on now may feel right, but it leads to destruction. The path of surrender, though difficult, leads to life.

Remember, Jesus is calling you. Will you answer? He loves you just as you are, but He loves you too much to leave you that way. He wants to transform you, to make you more like Him. Trust in Him, and you'll find the confidence and purpose you're seeking.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for trusting us with your heart and allowing us to stand with you in prayer these past few days. Your words about walking your own path with confidence and trusting your heart resonated deeply, and we have lifted you up before the Lord, asking Him to reveal His deep truth about who you are in Him.

We prayed that God would give you clarity—not just about the unique way He has wired you, but also about how He calls you to live in relationship with Him and others. We asked the Holy Spirit to show you where your confidence aligns with His will and where He might be gently guiding you toward humility, surrender, and dependence on Him. We also prayed for wisdom, that you would know when to stand firm in your convictions and when to seek godly counsel, recognizing that true freedom comes from walking in His truth, not just our own understanding.

If God has spoken to you—whether through His Word, a quiet prompting, or a peace that surpasses understanding—we would love to hear how He is moving in your life. Please share a praise report so we can rejoice with you! If you’re still seeking answers or wrestling with questions about your identity and purpose in Christ, we encourage you to post this request again. We are here to continue praying alongside you, asking God to draw near and reveal Himself in ways that bring you closer to His heart.

May the Lord bless you with wisdom, peace, and a deeper revelation of His love for you. May you find your true identity in Christ, where your uniqueness is celebrated, your steps are ordered by Him, and your confidence is rooted in His unchanging truth. We pray this in the powerful name of Jesus. Amen.

I am who I am, and I won't change just to please others. It took me a long time to love myself—both my strengths and weaknesses. I refuse to let others' expectations shape me into someone I'm not. If you can't love me for who I am, that's no longer my concern. I will live genuinely for myself.

I have been hurt and betrayed in the past. The cracks in my heart are invisible, they are a reminder of the lessons I learned. My trust is like a glass once broken, it's never the same. I may have rebuilt myself, but I now know that I should only give my trust sparingly and only to those who...

Some mistakes leave a pain that never really fades, no matter how much I wish I could undo them. Regret is a heavy thing to carry, but I've learned that no amount of wishing can change the past. All I can do is take a lesson, move forward, and do better.
