What is Sukkot?

John 7:2 Now the Iewes feast of Tabernacles was at hand.

Leviticus 23:34 Speake vnto the children of Israel, saying, The fifteenth day of this seuenth moneth, shall be the feast of Tabernacles for seuen dayes vnto the Lord.
It is a time each year where we are all commanded to keep the Feast, First we will look at the most relevant verses:

Zechariah 14:18
And if the family of Egypt goe not vp, and come not, that haue no raine: there shall bee the plague wherewith the Lord will smite the heathen that come not vp to keepe the feast of Tabernacles.

Zechariah 14:19 This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not vp to keepe the feast of Tabernacles.

Zechariah 14:16 And it shall come to passe that euery one that is left of all the nations which came against Ierusalem, shall euen goe vp from yeere to yeere to worship the King the Lord of hostes, and to keepe the feast of Tabernacles.
Exodus 23:14
¶ Three times thou shalt keepe a feast vnto me in the yeere.

Nehemiah 8:14 And they found written in the Law whith the Lord had commanded by Moses, that the children of Israel should dwell in boothes, in the feast of the seuenth moneth:

Leviticus 23:41 And yee shall keepe it a feast vnto the Lord seuen dayes in the yeere: It shalbe a Statute for euer in your generations, ye shall celebrate it in the seuenth moneth.

Numbers 29:12 ¶ And on the fifteenth day of the seuenth moneth, yee shall haue an holy conuocation, yee shall doe no seruile worke, and ye shall keepe a feast vnto the Lord seuen dayes.

Nehemiah 8:18 Also day by day from the first day vnto the last day, he read in the booke of the Law of God: and they kept the feast seuen dayes, and on the eight day was a solemne assembly according vnto the maner.

Leviticus 23:39 |Also in the fifteenth day of the seuenth moneth when yee haue gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall keepe a feast vnto the Lord seuen dayes. On the first day shall bee a Sabbath, and on the eight day shall bee a Sabbath.

2 Chronicles 30:22 And Hezekiah spake comfortably vnto all the Leuites, that taught the good knowledge of the Lord: and they did eate throughout the feast, seuen dayes, offering peace-offerings, and making confession to the Lord God of their fathers.

We learn from these verses, especially Zechariah 14:16 that this Feast of Tabernacles does not end. It does not apply only to those who are Jewish or of the nation of Israel. It applies to all people. So it is a feast that begins with a Sabbath which is not always on a Saturday, and ends with another Sabbath on an 8th day. The festival is 7 days. We are to live as the Hebrews lived as they wandered in the desert for all of the years, in booths aka non permanent structures. We are to sacrifice. We are to live in the booths for 7-8 days. How do we do that to keep the word?
We are in the time of Sukkot, aka Feast of Tabernacles, aka Feast of Booths now. It started 3 days ago. We should be living outside. We should be eating outside. Just as the people who came out of Egypt did. So, my husband and I have been living outside. We usually make a tent, or temporary structure. We cover it with branches and palm fronds. We stick some branches in an orange or lemon because we normally do not have citron. We cook outside over a fire. From everything that we cook goes the best portion of what we have into the fire with prayer. This is our sacrifice. Note, this feast is even at the end of time and will continue. Jesus did not replace this sacrifice. We sleep outside in the rain, the sun, the heat and the cold during this time, remembering the journey, and rejoicing that we were freed by the Lord. We are to rejoice. We are to sing. DO you Sukkot?

We learn that there will be punishment for all people and nations who do not do this festival. This festival is a commandment. So, do you Sukkot? Do you keep the commandment? Remember, Jesus said he came not to change the law. This is something we must do. We look forward to this time, and live outside even though we have a rental to live in. We have fresh air, the first light from the sun, fire cooked food, and a time of peace and joy even in this suffering and starvation we are in at this time. I have written this as I am crying, and trying to be joyful.

Blessed be the Lord our God who send His people Israel to all of us to tell us the eternal truth to earth. I am coming soon... says the Lord. and my reward is with Me to give to those who love Me with all their heart, mind and soul. O God, we need You, we want You, we praise You forever more. Please God, save Your people Israel. We are wating for the Messiah to come back to earth and take us all home to heaven. Amen

Fasting and praying for Israel to get saved and on their way to heaven. Jesus loves them all and wants all of them in heaven. Yashua Hamashiah, Yes, Jesus is coming soon to take us all to glory. But as for me and my house I will serve the Lord. That is a wonderful promise made by those who love God with all their heart, mind and soul. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

Jesus cry over Jerusalem saying. O Jerusalem, o Jerusalem, how I wanted to gather you but you did not wanted. I am crying along with Jesus for all Israel to be saved. God loves them, He cares for them, He wants all of them in heaven. My cry to God is for them to be saved and on their way to glory along with us.
