THE KINGDOM OF HELL!
By Bibleman
Many people, today, do not believe that the Devil and his host of fallen angels have an eternal domain or realm called Hell. If there is no place called Hell then there is no Devil or demon spirits. Christian deliverance ministers and those who have been possessed by demons tell a different story. Deliverance ministers and other witnesses testify of how demon spirits, in those who are demonized, speak through the person and proclaim that Satan, the Devil, is their King. These demon spirits become terrified of being cast out of their victims and will plead with ministers not to send them to Hell. They fear and dread having to go to that awful place called Hell to be punished by Satan or one of his higher ranking demons. If the Devil and his demons fear and dread Hell should not we mortal men also fear the possibility of going to such an awful place? This study will examine the testimonies of those who have had visions of Hell and those who actually experienced being in Hell for a short time. These testimonies along with the biblical teaching about Hell are very convincing that such a place really does exit. Every person alive should be forewarned so they can avoid going to such a horrible and terrifying place!
A KINGDOM OF CAPTIVITY!
The Bible describes Hell as being a gigantic prison or penitentiary, which God created, to eternally confine the devil, his millions of fallen angels, and all the multitudes of people who reject Christ (Mt. 25:41). The Bible describes this prison called Hell as a Dungeon (Lam. 3:55) or prison (Is. 14:17, 24:22) that has chambers or prison cells (Pr.7:27) with bars (Job 17:16, Jonah 2:6) Hell is much like modern prisons, on earth, that confine criminals and have secure cells and gates (Job 38:17; Ps. 9:13, 107:18; Is. 38:10). The difference is that Hell will be far more secure than any man-made prison. No one will ever be able to escape from Hell. It will not be a place of temporary confinement but eternal confinement. Hell also differs from modern prison systems because its punishment will be far more severe than just confinement (Rev. 14:11, 20:10). Bill Wiese, who tells about his 23 minute experience in Hell, (in his book that bears the same name) remembers being in one of Hell’s individual prison cells. He says the cells in Hell had solid stone walls and floor, with stout steel doors and bars. There were no prison guards to protect one from the ferocious and powerful demons who had free access to come in and beat and torture captives!
A KINGDOM OF TORMENT!
The Kingdom of Hell will be just the opposite of Heaven. “Hell is a place of unrelieved torment and horrible misery…a place of fire…a place of unrelieved torment for both body and soul. Hell will be horrible for everyone there…†(John MacArthur) (Lk. 16:23,24) According to the Bible there will be differing degrees of punishment in Hell. The portion of punishment from God (Job 20:29; Mt. 24:51) for each unsaved or wicked person who goes to Hell will be based on his ways and his deeds while he lived on the earth (Zech. 1:6; Mt. 16:27; Rom. 2:6). Punishment in Hell will be more tolerable for some than for others (Mt. 10:15). Those who receive greater condemnation (Mt. 23:14) will be beaten with many stripes while others will receive less stripes (Lk. 12:42-48; Heb. 10:28). God’s Judgment upon each soul who has a part or portion in Hell will be determined by how the unsaved person lived and how wicked his deeds were. Bill Wiese describes the pains of Hell that he experienced for 23 minutes, as horrors far worse than anyone could experience on earth. He says that he was paralyzed with fear from being tortured by huge, hideous demons having superhuman strength and who derived pleasure from inflicting pain and terror on their victims. These merciless demons who are assigned to the captives of Hell relish tormenting their victims by tearing them with long razor-like claws, biting with iron-like teeth and mangling with strength 10 times greater that the strongest of men. Bill said he felt as if every bone in his body had been broken and he had been torn from limb to limb after his assault from the demons of Hell. All who resist Christ and live sinful lives will be confined forever in the torture chambers of Hell!
A DESOLATE KINGDOM
The Bible reveals that Hell is the most desolate place in existence, far worse that the hottest and driest deserts (Ez. 26:20). Hell is a miserable place like a barren and desolate wasteland, extremely hot and dry, with no plant life or water. Hell is a large underground cavern deep inside the earth having large pits of infernal fire and brimstone that fills the air with thick hot smoke and unbearable heat like a furnace (Rev. 9:2; 20:10). The caverns of Hell are devoid of light and sunshine. It is a place of intense and impenetrable darkness like a black hole in space. (Mt. 8:12; Jude 13). Bill Wiese also described Hell as a desolate place. He saw the infernal fires, he experienced the intense heat, was forced to smell the suffocating odors of putrid stench and breathe the thick smoke-filled air (Rev. 14:11). He also described Hell as being a desolate kingdom devoid of all that is good and of God. There is no fresh air, pure water, food, sunshine, freedom, health, happiness, joy, pleasantness, peace, beauty, love, fellowship or friendship in Hell. Those consigned to Hell will be separated forever from God and all of the wonderful things that He has created for us to enjoy (Jam. 1:17). This most desolate of all places, called Hell, will be the future home and abode of the damned for all eternity!
AN INFERNAL KINGDOM!
Hell is an infernal kingdom or Netherworld. The Bible says that Hell is down under the earth (Job 33:28; Ez. 26:20, 32: 18,24; Is. 14:9-10) and in the lower parts or regions of the earth possibly hundreds of miles inside the earth (Ep. 4:9; Lk. 12:42-48; Ps. 86:13,88:6). Jesus said that Hell was in the center of the earth (Mt. 12:40). According to Scientists, the temperature of Hell in the center of the earth is a whooping 12,000 degrees. The red-hot fires of Hell will burn forever and ever (Mt. 18:8,9; Mk. 9:43-48). Bill Wiese, during his 23 minute visit in Hell, saw a very large and deep burning pit filled with fire and brimstone. He saw many people in that large lake of fire who were unable to escape their continuous torment in the flames. These people suffer the terrible pains and agony of being burned alive in an ocean of fire yet never consumed by these eternal flames (Rev. 14:10,11). The fires of Hell are hotter than anything on earth, just as painful, yet will not consume or utterly destroy. There are no fires as hot, as infinite, or as painful, as the infernal fires of Hell!
A KINGDOM OF TERROR!
There will be no enjoyment for anyone in Hell. Hell is a place completely devoid of happiness, freedom, love, comfort, hope and purpose. The Bible calls Hell a place of destruction and misery for the damned (Mt. 7:13; Rom. 3:16). Bill Wiese says that Hell is a terrifying place where there is no peace of mind, no rest from torments, fear, demonic terror, overwhelming heat, insatiable thirst, mental anguish, utter despair and hopelessness, sorrow, loneliness, unbearable pain and suffering, and severe emotional, mental, and physical trauma. Hell is a place of terror where one must constantly hear the agonized screams of the damned ( Mt. 13:42). The Lord gave Lester Sumrall a vision about the highway to Hell: “God lifted me up until I was looking down upon that uncountable multitude of humankind. He took me far down the highway until I saw the end of the road. It ended abruptly at a precipice towering above a bottomless inferno. When the tremendous unending procession of people came to the end of the highway, I could see them falling off into eternity. As they neared the pit and saw the fate that awaited them, I could see their desperate but vain struggle to push back against the unrelenting pressure of those to the rear. The great surging river of humanity swept them ever forward. God opened my ears to hear the screams of the damned souls sinking into hell…I could see their faces distorted with terror. Their hands flailed wildly, clawing at the air.†“I know of no one who has overstated the terror of Hell…We are meant to tremble and fear dread. We are meant to recoil from the reality. Not by denying it, but by fleeing from it into the arms of Jesus, who died to save us from it.†(John Piper, from one of his sermons)
