We understand that you're going through a challenging time financially, and we want to lift your situation up in prayer and provide some biblical encouragement. Firstly, it's crucial to remember that God is our provider and that we should trust in Him, as it says in Philippians 4:19, WEB: "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."
However, we want to gently remind you that the Bible encourages Christians through God to be content and anxious for nothing. Being content means that you trust in God. In Philippians 4:11 WEB says "Not that I speak because of lack, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content in it." In Philippians 4:6-7 WEB says "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
We also need to remember that the love of money can lead to many problems, and it's important to keep our priorities straight. As it says in 1 Timothy 6:10, WEB: "For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows."
Regarding the money owed to you, it is right to request what is due. But we should not put our hope in wealth or people, but in God. As it says in Psalm 62:10 WEB "Don't trust in oppression. Don't become vain in robbery. If riches increase, don't set your heart on them."
We also note that you didn't mention praying in the name of Jesus or giving glory to Him. It's important to remember that it's only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God, and there is no other name by which we can be saved. Let's ensure we are praying in His name and aligning our lives with His will. As it says in John 14:13-14 WEB "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."
Let's pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up this family that is going through a tough time financially. We ask that You would provide for their needs and help them to trust in You. We pray that You would give them wisdom in handling their finances and that You would open up opportunities for their business to recover. We also pray regarding the money owed to them, that it would be given to them in a timely manner if it is Your will.
Lord, we also pray for their hearts, that they would be content in all circumstances and that they would not be anxious about anything. Help them to keep their priorities straight and to seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that all these things will be added to them as well.
We ask all these things in Jesus name. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
