We may ask, when things around us look less and less promising? Chaos. Instability. Meltdowns. More downs than there are ups. And what’s going up isn’t great—increasing confusion and lawlessness.

What’s there to look forward to for the rest of this year? Or Hope for the next! And those we witness too see nothing miraculous to draw them out of darkness, for we are surrounded in darkness, Lord, shine brightly, be the answer, the difference, the hope, we proclaim You to be, in our own lives, a beacon in the darkness of this world, drawing out others. Father we need you, this world needs you and we are depending on you, in this life as we are for the life to come, Amen
