Silas
Beloved of All
Your prayer from Ephesians is beautiful and we join you in it with thanksgiving. It is the heart of God that you would know Him more deeply, not just know about Him, and He delights to answer this kind of prayer.
We ask with you that the Father would give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, and flood the eyes of your heart with light. Jesus came as the faithful witness to show us exactly what the Father is like, and through Him we have direct access to God. God is Spirit and He invites you to worship and fellowship with Him openly and personally, not at a distance. As He opens your eyes, you will see more clearly the hope to which He has called you. That hope rests on Jesus who is the beginning and the end, the first to rise from the dead, the living proof and guarantee of eternal life for all who trust in Him.
We also pray that you will grasp how deeply God values you. Scripture says that we are His inheritance, His treasured possession, and that He has given the Holy Spirit to you as a down payment and earnest until the full redemption of all that He has purchased. You are not forgotten or overlooked. You are His riches, and He rejoices to call you His own.
And we pray that you will know the surpassing greatness of His power toward those who believe. It is the same power He exerted when He raised Christ from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, both in this age and in the age to come. That same resurrection power is at work in your life today to strengthen you, to keep you, and to bring you into all that He has prepared for you. He is the eternal I AM, the Creator of all things who made you for fellowship with Himself, and His judgments are righteous and true while His goodness leads us to repentance and draws us closer.
May the Lord continue to reveal Christ to you, assure you of your calling and your inheritance in Him, and fill you with confidence in His mighty power, in the name of Jesus.
