Disciple of Prayer
Hi. Okay so I’m going through… I don’t know. Troubles or war? I’m not sure. I was in a relationship with a non-believer. His name is ###. Please pray for him as well that he may find mercy and God. I was praying for him through it, but after the relationship ended my entire life seemingly imploded. He one day just said he wasn’t ready. But then, I also lost my friends at work who rejected me for not pretending to be happy well enough. Their words. I also lost my home, as I lived as a hostel mother and when ### came to visit and drink coffee, the people who lived there wanted me out. Where I live now, the landlord is touching me inappropriately. I’m ### but I feel like a scared little girl. I need a new job and home. But more than that I need to feel safe again. Please please help me.

We hear the deep pain and turmoil in your heart, and we want you to know that you are not alone in this battle. What you are experiencing is not just a series of unfortunate events—it is spiritual warfare. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus came to give life abundantly. You are under attack because you are a child of God, and the devil wants to discourage you, isolate you, and make you feel powerless. But we serve a God who is greater, and He has already won the victory through Christ.

First, we must address the relationship with the non-believer. The Bible is clear that believers should not be unequally yoked with unbelievers (2 Corinthians 6:14). While it is noble to pray for his salvation—and we will join you in that—entering into a relationship with someone who does not share your faith is inviting conflict and heartache. Your heart was broken because this relationship was built on an unstable foundation. God’s desire is for you to be whole and to find a spouse who loves Him first, so that together you can serve the Lord without division. We encourage you to release this relationship fully to God and trust Him to bring a godly husband into your life in His perfect timing, if that is His will.

The loss of your friends at work is another wound, but we must ask: were these truly godly friendships? If they rejected you for not pretending to be happy, they were not acting as true friends should. The Bible tells us that "a friend loves at all times" (Proverbs 17:17) and that we are to "bear one another’s burdens" (Galatians 6:2). Their rejection, while painful, may be God’s way of removing unhealthy influences from your life to make room for relationships that will build you up in Christ.

The situation with your housing is deeply troubling, especially the inappropriate behavior of your landlord. This is not something you should endure. The Bible calls us to flee from sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18) and to protect our bodies as temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). You have every right—and responsibility—to remove yourself from this environment. We urge you to seek help immediately, whether through local authorities, a trusted church, or a Christian organization that assists women in distress. You deserve safety, and God does not want you to remain in a place where you are being violated.

Your feelings of fear and vulnerability are valid, but we remind you that God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). You are His daughter, and He is your refuge and strength (Psalm 46:1). Even when it feels like everything is falling apart, He is holding you together. Your identity is not in your circumstances, your job, or your housing—it is in Christ. You are chosen, loved, and redeemed (Ephesians 1:4-5).

We also notice that your request did not invoke the name of Jesus. There is no other name under heaven by which we are saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). If you have not already, we urge you to place your full trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that He died for you and rose again, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). If you have already done this, then we encourage you to stand firm in your faith, praying in Jesus’ name with boldness, knowing that He hears you.

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift up Your daughter to You, who is feeling broken, afraid, and overwhelmed by the attacks of the enemy. Lord, we ask that You surround her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and remind her that she is safe in Your hands. Father, we rebuke every spirit of fear, confusion, and despair in Jesus’ name. We declare that no weapon formed against her will prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that You are her shield and defender.

Lord, we pray for her housing situation. Provide her with a safe and secure home, one where she can rest and feel protected. Open doors for her to find a new job that not only meets her financial needs but also aligns with Your purposes for her life. Give her wisdom and discernment as she seeks Your will in this season.

Father, we also lift up the man she mentioned. We ask that You soften his heart to the truth of the Gospel. Draw him to Yourself, Lord, and reveal Your love and mercy to him. If it is Your will, bring godly people into his life who will share Your Word with him.

Lord, we pray for godly friendships for Your daughter—friendships that are rooted in Your love and that will encourage her in her faith. Remove any relationships that are not of You and replace them with ones that reflect Your heart.

Finally, Father, we ask that You restore her joy and her strength. Help her to see herself as You see her—beloved, valuable, and victorious in Christ. Fill her with Your Holy Spirit and guide her steps as she seeks to honor You in all things. We ask all this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus. Amen.

We encourage you to spend time in God’s Word daily, especially in the Psalms, where you will find comfort and strength. Seek out a Bible-believing church where you can find community and support. If you are not already in counseling, we recommend finding a Christian counselor who can help you process these trials in a healthy, biblical way.

You are not forgotten. You are not abandoned. God sees you, He loves you, and He is fighting for you. Keep your eyes on Him, and trust that He will lead you through this storm into a place of peace and restoration. Stand firm, sister. Your breakthrough is coming.

We're right here with you, sister. We can feel the weight of your heart, the confusion, the fear. But remember, God is right there too, closer than you think. He sees you, He knows your pain, and He's fighting for you.

First things first, you need to get out of that unsafe living situation. You deserve to be safe, and God wants that for you too. Reach out to local authorities, a trusted church, or a Christian organization that helps women in distress. You're not alone in this, and there are people who can help.

Now, let's talk about your heart. It's broken, and that's okay. It's okay to feel scared, to feel vulnerable. But remember, God hasn't given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. You are His daughter, and He is your refuge and strength. Even when everything feels like it's falling apart, He's holding you together.

As for the relationship with the non-believer, it's okay to let that go. It's okay to trust God with that. He wants the best for you, and that includes a relationship that won't divide you from Him. Trust Him with that part of your life too.

You've lost friends, and that hurts. But remember, true friends love at all times. If they rejected you for not pretending to be happy, they weren't acting as true friends should. This might be God's way of removing unhealthy influences from your life to make room for relationships that will build you up in Christ.

You need a new job and a new home. We're praying for that. We're praying that God will provide for you, that He'll give you wisdom and discernment as you seek His will in this season. We're also praying for godly friendships for you, friendships that are rooted in God's love and that will encourage you in your faith.

And finally, sister, we're praying for your joy and your strength. We're asking God to restore them, to fill you with His Holy Spirit, to guide your steps. We're asking Him to help you see yourself as He sees you - beloved, valuable, and victorious in Christ.

You're not forgotten. You're not abandoned. God sees you, He loves you, and He's fighting for you. Keep your eyes on Him, trust that He will lead you through this storm into a place of peace and restoration. Stand firm, sister. Your breakthrough is coming.

Praying for others on here and reading your Bible will help you tremendously.

I wanted to commit suicide once, I even came up with a plan. Right before I headed out the door I posted a prayer on here and hoping there might be help from God one last time I opened the Bible and only read take no thought for your life. I read that before at least 100 times but never really could understand how. This time I took it to heart, all right God I will end my life by not thinking about it. I take no thought, I take no thought, I take no thought over and over and over again I take no thought was my only thought that day. All of a sudden I noticed something, Jesus showed up, all my pains were gone, no neck ache, no back pain, no leg pain from many many accidents I had over the years and no pain in my heart as my wife had left me. I started singing praises and thanks to Jesus and my life has never been the same. It is our obedience to God from His Holy Instructions that makes a difference to His Power of His Promises in our lives.

Be a doer of Jesus friend, it really makes a difference! Thank You Lord Jesus!

Search the Bible for Jesus' Promises friend, do them and claim them in Jesus! Amen! Thank You Lord Jesus!

Powerful healing promise hidden in Proverbs 3:7-8, I am not wise in my own eyes, I fear You Lord, I depart from evil, especially my own evil thoughts and my flesh is healed and my body is refreshed in Jesus.

Praying for others especially in your situation will help you tremendously in yours friend.

Take no thought for your life dear friend and Jesus will take thought for you. Sing praises and thanks to Jesus and He will overflow His Holy Spirit in you and so much more. He will fight for you and give you the desires of your heart.

Pray this prayer look up the verses and pray it again with your friends and family and let's mount up with wings as eagles and soar. Soar with me.

Let Us Pray: God I ask in Jesus' name, bless me to grow closer to You. I long for a more intimate relationship with You. God I take You at Your Word, if I will draw closer to You, You will draw closer to me (James 4:8). Show me how to draw closer to You. Bless me daily to cast off and forsake my thoughts and ways for my life, and exchange them for Your thoughts and ways for my life. Let me think Your thoughts and dream Your dreams for my life. God bless me to live and walk in Your love, mercy and forgiveness (Isaiah 55:7). I confess, I will take no thought for my life. I will trust You Father God to take thought for me and take care of me (Mathew 6:25-34). I will not be wise in my own eyes, I will fear You Lord and depart from evil and my flesh will be healed and my body will be refreshed (Proverbs 3:7-8) daily. Thank You Jesus for Your Promises! Lord make me the Child of God You need me to be in Christ for all those around me and for the world to see (Psalms 128:3). Not by my might, nor by my power, but by Your Spirt Christ Jesus (Zechariah 4:6) this shall happen. And it will happen, it is happening now in Your timing, Power, Strength, Might, and Spirit, Christ Jesus. God all that I have asked of you in this prayer please do the same for all those I love, care about, and every faithful prayer warrior on this site.
