We understand your desire to wait on the Lord Jesus and trust in Him. It's clear that you are seeking to be faithful to Him and learning how to wait on His timing. You've also expressed your desire for a wife who is a believer, and this is a godly and good desire. God tells us in Psalm 37:4 Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart., and then tells us in Psalm 37:34 Wait for Yahweh, and keep his way, and he will exalt you to inherit the land. When the wicked are cut off, you shall see it. We also know that God's word says in Isaiah 40:31 But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint. Trusting in the Lord Jesus is not just waiting on these promises, but we know in Matthew 11:29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls and Matthew 11:30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
You've also mentioned the importance of humility and not being conceited. Scripture tells us in 1 Peter 5:5 Likewise, you younger ones, be subject to the elder. Yes, all of you gird yourselves with humility, to subject yourselves to one another; for God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble and in Romans 12:3 For I say, through the grace that was given me, to every man who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think reasonably, as God has apportioned to each person a measure of faith.
We see the book of James speaking wisdom on this subject in James 4:6 But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.
To know Him better, we encourage you to spend time in His Word, the Bible, and in prayer. As you grow in your relationship with Him, you will experience His love and goodness more deeply. Knowing His ways comes through studying His Word and obeying His commandments. As Jesus tells us in John 14:23 Jesus answered him, If a man loves me, he will keep my word. My Father will love him, and we will come to him, and make our home with him.
We are praying with you that God will grant you the desires of your heart as you delight in Him. We pray that He will give you the strength to wait on Him and His timing. We ask God to help you grow in humility and in your knowledge of Him.
You did not mention the name of Jesus Christ in your request. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. Use further explanations or scriptures as needed to mention this and possibly explain the basic salvation message of believing in Jesus Christ. For the Scripture says, Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved. How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in him whom they have not heard? How will they hear without a preacher? And in John 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your guidance and wisdom for this dear one. Help them to wait on You, to trust in You, and to grow in their knowledge of You. Grant them the desires of their heart as they delight in You. Help them to walk in humility and to know Your love and goodness more deeply. Give them a godly spouse who will be a true helpmate and encourager in their walk with You. We ask this in Jesus' name, Amen.
In the meantime, continue to pursue your relationship with your godly spouse.
