Topic Automatically Translated From Swedish Language:

To experience the consequences – the prevailing reality, the abuses, the ill will, the hostility, the constant surveillance and investigations – and to know that none of those involved will inherit the kingdom of heaven... is this not what Jesus was talking about? Jesus said: neither add nor take away.

We hear the heaviness in your words and we join with you in bringing this burden before the Lord in Jesus' name. To live under hostility, ill will, constant surveillance, investigations and abuses is a great trial, and we understand why your heart is troubled when you see the hardness of those who do such things and wonder about their standing before God.

You ask about those who will not inherit the kingdom of heaven, and the Scripture does speak plainly about this. We are told in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 that the unrighteous will not inherit the Kingdom of God, and in Galatians 5:19-21 that the deeds of the flesh such as hostility, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, divisions and things like these will keep those who practice them from inheriting the kingdom. Jesus Himself warned that lawlessness would increase and that His followers would face persecution. He said in John 15:18, If the world hates you, you know that it has hated me before it hated you. And in Matthew 5:11-12, Blessed are you when people reproach you, persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven.

At the same time we must remember that vengeance belongs to the Lord and final judgment belongs to Him alone. We are called not to repay evil for evil but to leave room for God's wrath, for it is written in Romans 12:19, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord. And we are commanded in Matthew 5:44 to love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you. This does not excuse the abuses you describe, but it calls us to entrust justice to God while we pray even for those who do wrong, that they might repent and be saved.

You mention that Jesus said neither add nor take away, and you are right to hold fast to the purity of God's Word. This warning is given in Deuteronomy 4:2, You shall not add to the word which I command you, neither shall you take away from it, and again in Proverbs 30:6, Don't you add to his words, lest he reprove you, and you be found a liar, and most solemnly in Revelation 22:18-19, If anyone adds to them, may God add to him the plagues which are written in this book. If anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, may God take away his part from the tree of life. We must receive the Scripture as it is, not twisting it to suit ourselves and not dulling its truth, but obeying it with a faithful heart. We rebuke any tampering with God's Word, whether by adding human traditions or by taking away its hard truths about sin, repentance, and holiness.

We pray together for you now.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace for this dear one who is weary from hostility and constant pressure. Lord, You see every abuse, every act of ill will, every hidden surveillance, and nothing is hidden from Your eyes. We ask that You grant peace that surpasses understanding and guard this heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Strengthen faith to endure persecution without growing bitter, and help to walk in truth without adding to or taking away from Your Word. We pray for protection, for wisdom, and for deliverance according to Your will. We also pray for those who are causing this harm, that You would bring them to conviction and repentance, that they might turn from darkness and be saved through Jesus alone, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved in Acts 4:12. Help us to forgive as You have forgiven us and to leave judgment in Your righteous hands. Lead this life in holiness and hope, looking to the coming kingdom where every wrong will be made right. We ask this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

We encourage you to remain steadfast in the Word, to stay in fellowship with other believers, to pray continually, and to keep your eyes on Christ. In 2 Timothy 3:12 we are reminded that all those who want to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution, but God promises in Romans 8:18 that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which will be revealed toward us. Keep holding fast to what is written, walking in love and truth, and trusting that God is both just and merciful.

We read your words and we hear how exhausting this has been, living under hostility and feeling watched and investigated while also carrying the sorrow of believing those involved are far from God. It makes sense you would feel worn down and ask what Jesus meant about not adding or taking away.

When someone has lived through ongoing mistreatment, it can leave a deep sense of powerlessness and a crushed spirit that lingers long after the events. It is understandable to feel on guard and to wrestle with what is true and what will last.

We want to encourage you to not carry this alone. One steady next step could be to share what you are experiencing with one safe and trusted person, such as a pastor or a counselor in your area who can listen well, help you sort through what is happening, and walk with you over time. If you ever feel unsafe, please reach out right away to a trusted support person or local help in your community.

You do not have to have all the answers today about what others will do or what the future holds. You can rest in Christ's care for you and His nearness in this reality you are facing.

Father, we lift this person to You. You see the hurt and the weariness and the questions. Bring Your peace, Your protection and Your clear guidance. Help them to feel Your presence and to find safe, wise support nearby. Lead them day by day in Your will. In Jesus' name, amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You have described a heavy burden to carry, to live under constant hostility, ill will, surveillance and investigations, and at the same time to see clearly what Scripture says about the end of a life lived without repentance. It is right that you bring this before the Lord, and that you take His Word seriously when it warns us.

Scripture does speak of such times. We see the same things daily revolving, day and night, winter and summer, and with them fresh evils, fear and trembling and sorrow. God at times permits hardships and even persecution to arise, not because He has abandoned His people, but by His providence to awaken souls, to scatter what has grown stagnant, and to show that we are still men in need of grace. To live in this present age without affliction and heaviness of mind is not possible, for we sail over a great sea that is never free from cares.

The Lord Jesus did speak plainly about the final separation. He said, Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world, and also, Depart from Me into the fire prepared for the devil and his angels. The apostles also warn that those who persist in unrepentant sin, whether through greed, sexual immorality, malice, slander, or other works of the flesh, will not inherit the kingdom of God. That warning is given not to let us despair over others, but to lead us to godly sorrow. Worldly sorrow and anxiety only crush the soul and make us count our life not worth living, but godly sorrow works repentance unto salvation without regret, and that repentance is full of hope.

You recall the word, neither add nor take away. That is indeed what the Lord commands. In both the Law and in the Revelation it is written that we must not add to His words and we must not take away from them. To keep His Word whole is to receive it as He gave it, to believe that salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, and to walk according to His design for holiness, including that marriage is the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman and that sexual union belongs only within it. We do not help anyone by changing that message, and we do not love anyone well by affirming what God calls sin. True love tells the truth and then points to the cross where forgiveness is offered to all who repent and believe.

Therefore do not remain only in grief over the hostility around you, and do not claim final judgment over any person, for that belongs to the Lord who sees the heart. Commend yourself and those involved to the living God and to His Christ in prayer. Pray for yourself, that God would guard you from bitter anxiety and give you a heart of repentance and peace. Pray for those who do wrong against you and who live without regard for God, that they too may come to godly sorrow, turn from their ways, and receive mercy while there is time. Seek the things that lead to joy, not the anxieties that make even the rich poor in soul, but the poverty of spirit that inherits the kingdom.

May the Lord grant you wisdom to remain faithful to His whole Word, courage to speak it without adding or subtracting, and grace to love those who oppose you enough to desire their salvation. May He turn your heaviness into that good grief which looks to Christ, confesses sin, forgives as you have been forgiven, and hopes fully in the kingdom prepared for those who are His.
