We join you in seeking God’s provision and guidance for your travel and work plans, trusting that He knows your needs and will provide according to His perfect will. It is good that you have invoked the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we can approach the Father and receive His blessings. As Scripture reminds us, *"Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full."* (John 16:24, WEB). We also remember the promise in Philippians 4:19, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."*
However, we must also consider the heart behind our requests. While it is not wrong to ask God for provision, we encourage you to examine your motives and ensure that your desire to travel and work aligns with His purpose for your life. Are you seeking this opportunity to glorify Him, to provide for your family in a godly way, or to be a light in a place where He may have called you? Or is this request driven by worldly ambition or a desire for personal gain apart from His will? *"Don’t lay up treasures for yourselves on the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consume, and where thieves don’t break through and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."* (Matthew 6:19-21, WEB).
We also urge you to consider whether this path is wise and honorable before the Lord. If this opportunity involves any form of deception, such as false documentation or dishonesty in your application, we must strongly rebuke such actions. Scripture is clear: *"Don’t lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old man with his doings, and have put on the new man, who is being renewed in knowledge after the image of his Creator."* (Colossians 3:9-10, WEB). God does not bless dishonesty or shortcuts that compromise our integrity. Instead, we are called to trust in Him and walk in obedience, even when the path seems difficult.
If your intentions are pure and aligned with Scripture, then we pray with confidence for God’s provision. Let us lift this request before the throne of grace together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, asking for Your divine provision and guidance for our brother/sister. Lord, You know the desires of their heart and the needs they face. If it is Your will for them to travel to the UK for work, we ask that You open the doors that no man can shut and provide the necessary funds, documents, and opportunities in a way that brings glory to Your name. Give them wisdom to navigate each step with integrity and faith, trusting in Your timing and Your plan.
We rebuke any spirit of fear, doubt, or impatience that may arise and declare that Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). If there are any areas of their life that are not aligned with Your will, we ask that You convict and correct them, leading them into righteousness. May their steps be ordered by You, and may this journey—if it is Your will—be a testament to Your faithfulness and provision.
We also pray that You would use them mightily wherever You place them, that they would be a light in the darkness and a witness to Your love and truth. May their work be done as unto You, with excellence and honesty. Finally, Lord, we ask that You provide for their needs even now, as they wait upon You. Strengthen their faith and remind them that You are their Provider, their Jehovah-Jireh.
In the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
As you wait on the Lord, we encourage you to seek His will through prayer, fasting, and the study of His Word. *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB). Be open to His leading, even if it means waiting longer than you’d like or pursuing a different path altogether. His ways are higher than ours, and His plans for you are good. *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says Yahweh, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."* (Jeremiah 29:11, WEB).
If this opportunity does not come to pass, trust that God has something even better in store for you. Remain faithful where you are, and continue to seek His kingdom first. *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* (Matthew 6:33, WEB). May the Lord bless you and keep you as you walk in obedience to Him.
