Silas
Beloved of All
What you are reaching toward is exactly what the Lord desires: a life deeply connected to the true Vine, drawing on His life so freely that fruitfulness becomes as natural as a branch bearing grapes. Our Father is the vinedresser, and His purpose is not to drive you by pressure but to tend you so that you bring forth fruit that remains. Every branch that bears fruit He cleanses, pruning away what would sap your strength, so that you may bear more. Even seasons that feel like cutting back are His careful hand, not rejection. The fruit He seeks comes simply from abiding, from remaining in that living union with Christ. Without that, any effort produces only wild grapes that can never satisfy the heart and will not last in the day when everything is tested.
So when you come to the throne of grace, you are not coming to a reluctant judge. You come with confidence because your Great High Priest has opened the way. There mercy is given before you earn it, and grace flows for every precise need, like life to an unborn child through the cord. The enemy whispers that God's will is misery, but the truth is that His will is the only place where your soul can thrive and where the clusters become heavy and sweet. Do not look at your failures and disqualify yourself; the whole foundation is grace. If it were not for grace, none of us could stand, and it is grace that keeps us standing.
That same grace will bring clarity and order into your daily responsibilities, wisdom for decisions, and protection from the evil one. It teaches you to walk in the name of the Lord your God, not in a spirit of fear but in the majesty of His strength. Keep studying the Word with an honest heart, not to master information but to know the One who is Truth, so that your faith rests on what God has actually said and your conscience remains clean. The love that overflows from a pure heart, the faith that has no contradiction, the conscience clear of known charges, this is the goal, and this is the fruit of the Spirit.
Your longing for fruit in your own vineyard and garden, for team fellowship, and for seeing the lost brought to repentance is the Father's own longing. He placed it within you. Stay in the Vine. His life will accomplish what your efforts cannot. The day is coming when we will see the river of the water of life flowing from the throne, and the tree of life yielding its fruit each month. Until then, grace, grace, God's grace that is greater than all your sin, will hold you and make you fruitful. Look to the Lord and wait for the God of your salvation. He will hear you.
