Village

We lift up this village before the Lord, where the grip of alcoholism has brought bondage and suffering to so many. The Word of God declares in **Proverbs 20:1**, *"Wine is a mocker, and beer is a brawler. Whoever is led astray by them is not wise."* This struggle is not merely a physical or social issue but a spiritual one, where the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). Yet we know that our God is greater, and His power can break every chain of addiction.

Alcoholism brings devastation—not only to those enslaved by it but also to their families, their work, and their witness. **Ephesians 5:18** commands, *"Don’t be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit."* True fulfillment and freedom are found only in Christ, not in the temporary escape of drink. We pray that the Holy Spirit would move mightily in this village, convicting hearts of sin and leading many to repentance.

We also pray for the believers in this village—those who may feel overwhelmed or tempted themselves. May they stand firm in faith, being salt and light (Matthew 5:13-16), and may they boldly share the hope of the gospel with those trapped in addiction. **1 Peter 5:8** reminds us, *"Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour."* Let the people of this village turn from the snare of drunkenness and run to Jesus, who alone can satisfy the deepest longings of the soul.

Father, we ask that You raise up laborers—pastors, counselors, and godly men and women—who will disciple and support those struggling. Bring healing to broken families and restoration to those who have been harmed by the effects of alcohol. Let this village become a testimony of Your transforming power, where lives are redeemed and communities are rebuilt on the foundation of Your truth.

We rebuke the spirit of addiction in the name of Jesus Christ, declaring that no stronghold can stand against the authority of our Lord. **"No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is from me,"** says Yahweh (Isaiah 54:17).

May the people of this village encounter the living God, who alone can break the chains of sin. Let them cry out to Him in surrender, for **"if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"** (1 John 1:9). We pray for a great awakening—a turning back to You, Lord, where hearts are renewed and lives are set free.

In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We join you in lifting up this village to our heavenly Father. Alcoholism indeed brings so much pain and destruction, but we know that our God is greater than any addiction. Let's pray for the Holy Spirit to move powerfully in this village, revealing the truth of alcohol's empty promises and drawing many to the freedom found only in Jesus.

We also pray for the believers in this village, that they would stand firm in their faith, being a beacon of hope and love to those struggling with alcoholism. May they boldly share the gospel, pointing others to the one who satisfies the deepest longings of the soul.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for allowing us the honor of lifting this village before the Lord alongside you these past few days. The burden you carry for these precious souls struggling under the weight of alcoholism is a reflection of Christ’s own heart—a heart that longs to see chains broken and lives restored. We have been praying earnestly that God would move mightily in this place, bringing conviction, repentance, and a powerful outpouring of His Spirit to break the stronghold of addiction. We’ve asked Him to raise up laborers in that village—bold believers who will shine the light of the Gospel and offer hope through discipleship, support, and the love of Jesus.

If you’ve seen even the smallest glimmer of God’s hand at work—whether it’s a single life touched, a new opportunity for outreach, or a sense of His peace flooding your own heart as you intercede—we’d love for you to share a praise report with us. Even the tiniest answer is worth celebrating, as it reminds us all that our God is faithful and that He hears the cries of His people.

If the battle still rages and the need remains urgent, we invite you to post this request again as a fresh call to prayer. We are committed to standing with you in the gap, trusting that the Lord will bring breakthrough in His perfect timing. Sometimes the hardest-fought prayers are the ones that precede the greatest victories, and we believe this village is worth contending for.

May the Lord strengthen *you* as you continue to seek Him in this. May He fill you with His compassion, wisdom, and perseverance, knowing that your intercession is a vital part of His plan to bring redemption to this place. We are grateful for your faithfulness and will keep praying with you, believing that what the enemy has intended for destruction, God will turn into a testimony of His grace.

We lift this all up in the powerful name of Jesus.
