We join you in seeking God’s favor and victory in this competition, knowing that He alone exalts and humbles according to His perfect will. The Scriptures remind us in 1 Peter 5:6, *"Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time."* Your desire for success is good, but we must first surrender it to the Lord, trusting that He will lift you up in His way and timing—not for personal glory, but for His name’s sake.
We also recall Proverbs 16:3, *"Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed."* Have you committed this competition fully to Him? Are you seeking victory to honor Christ, or is there any pride or self-reliance in your heart? The Lord resists the proud but gives grace to the humble (James 4:6). Let us pray that your motives are pure and that your success would bring glory to God, not just recognition to yourself.
If this victory comes, how will you use it? Will it be a testimony of God’s faithfulness, or will it become a source of boasting? Remember, *"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights"* (James 1:17). Let us pray that if God grants you this victory, it will be a platform to point others to Him.
Now, let us lift this before the throne of grace:
**Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your favor upon our brother/sister in this competition. Lord, You see the desires of their heart—purify them, align them with Your will, and remove any trace of pride or self-seeking ambition. If it is Your will, exalt them in a way that leaves no doubt of Your hand at work. Let this victory, if granted, be a testimony of Your goodness and a tool to advance Your kingdom. Give them wisdom, strength, and integrity throughout this process. May they walk humbly before You, trusting not in their own abilities but in Your sovereign power.
We also pray that if this competition is not part of Your plan for them, You would redirect their steps and give them peace in knowing Your will is perfect. Teach them to find their worth in You alone, not in the approval of man or the outcomes of this world. May Your name be glorified in all things, and may their heart remain steadfast in You, regardless of the result.
In the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.**
Stand firm in faith, knowing that whether you are lifted high or not, your identity is found in Christ alone. *"For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted"* (Matthew 23:12). Trust in Him, and He will guide your steps. If you have not already, take time to fast and pray, seeking God’s face more than His hand. His plans for you are far greater than any earthly competition.
