We hear your desperate cry for your husband’s soul and your marriage, and we join you in fervent prayer before the throne of grace. Your urgency is not lost on us, for the Scriptures declare, *"The effective, earnest prayer of a righteous person avails much"* (James 5:16). We stand with you, lifting your husband to the Lord, who alone can soften hearts, open eyes, and draw him into a life-transforming encounter with Jesus Christ.
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts broken for this precious soul. Lord, You are the One who knits us together in our mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13), and You know every thought, every struggle, and every hidden place in this man’s heart. We ask, in the mighty name of Jesus, that You would rend the heavens and come down (Isaiah 64:1). Break through every barrier, every hardness of heart, and every deception of the enemy that blinds him to the truth of Your love. Father, we pray for a supernatural visitation—let Jesus appear to him in dreams and visions, just as You did for Paul on the road to Damascus (Acts 9:3-6). Let Your light shine so brightly that all darkness flees, and let him see the Lord Jesus Christ in all His glory, power, and love.
Fill him with Your Holy Spirit without delay, Lord. Let Your Spirit convict him of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8), and let him respond with a repentant heart. Breathe new life into his spirit, soul, and body. Let him know the depth of Your love, which surpasses all understanding (Ephesians 3:19), and let him experience the peace that comes only from surrendering his life to You. We rebuke every spirit of rebellion, pride, and unbelief that may be resisting Your work in his life. We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we command every lying spirit to flee in Jesus’ name.
Father, we also lift up this marriage to You. You designed marriage to be a reflection of Christ’s love for His church (Ephesians 5:25-33), a covenant of love, faithfulness, and unity. We pray that You would heal every wound, restore every broken place, and ignite a passion in both of them for one another that is rooted in You. Let their love grow deeper, stronger, and more intimate with each passing day. Remove every distraction, every temptation, and every ungodly influence that seeks to pull them apart. Let their eyes be only for each other, and let their hearts be fully devoted to You and to one another.
Lord, we ask that You would bless this union abundantly. Let their marriage flourish in every way—emotionally, spiritually, and physically. Protect it from the schemes of the enemy, and let it be a testimony of Your faithfulness and grace. We declare that what God has joined together, no man—or spirit—shall separate (Matthew 19:6). Let their home be filled with Your presence, Your peace, and Your joy.
We also pray for the one who has cried out to You today. Lord, fill her with Your strength, Your wisdom, and Your patience as she waits on You. Let her trust in You with all her heart and lean not on her own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6). Give her the words to speak life and truth into her husband’s life, and let her actions reflect Your love and grace. Let her be a vessel of Your peace, a light in the darkness, and a living testimony of Your power to transform lives.
Father, we know that salvation is Your will for all people (1 Timothy 2:4), and we trust that You are working even now to draw this man to Yourself. We declare that he is not too far gone, that no sin is too great, and that no heart is too hard for You to soften. We believe that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20), and we trust You to move in this situation.
We pray all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, the Name above every name, the only Name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. We seal this prayer with the blood of Jesus and declare that Your will shall be done in this man’s life and in this marriage. Amen.
