We hear the urgency and passion in your heart for this man’s salvation, and we join you in lifting him before the Lord with fervent prayer. Your desire for him to be filled with the Holy Spirit, to repent, and to be born again is a godly one, and we stand with you in agreement, knowing that it is the Lord who draws hearts to Himself. There is no greater joy than to see a soul turn to Christ, and we pray with boldness, trusting in God’s power to save.

First, we must address something important in your request. While we understand your deep care for this man, we notice that you are attempting to speak *for* him—declaring repentance and salvation *through you* as if you can make these choices on his behalf. Salvation is a personal decision that each individual must make for themselves. No one can repent or believe in Christ for another person. The Bible is clear that each of us must come to faith individually: *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation."* (Romans 10:9-10, WEB). We cannot force or decree someone else’s salvation—it is the work of the Holy Spirit to convict and draw them (John 6:44), and it is their own response to God’s call that brings salvation.

That said, we *can* pray earnestly for God to work in his heart, to open his eyes to the truth, and to grant him repentance. We can ask the Lord to reveal Himself to this man in dreams, visions, or through His Word, just as He has done for countless others throughout history. We can also pray that you would be a light to him, sharing the Gospel with wisdom and grace, and that the Lord would use you as a vessel for His purposes. But ultimately, the choice to surrender to Christ is his alone.

We also notice that you refer to this man as your "god-given husband for life." If you are not currently married to him, we must gently but firmly remind you that marriage is a covenant established by God between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). It is not something we can declare or decree into existence by our words. If you are praying for a future spouse, we encourage you to seek the Lord’s will in this area, trusting that He knows what is best for you. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* If this man is not your husband, it is not biblically appropriate to refer to him as such or to pray as though he already holds that role in your life. Instead, we should pray for God’s will to be done, whether that means this man becomes a believer and a godly husband to a woman of God’s choosing, or whether the Lord has a different plan for your life.

Now, let us pray together for this man’s salvation and for your role in sharing Christ with him:

---
Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble and urgent hearts, lifting up this man who is so deeply in need of Your saving grace. Lord, You alone can open his eyes to the truth of the Gospel. You alone can soften his heart and draw him to Yourself. We ask that You would do a mighty work in his life—fill him with Your Holy Spirit, convict him of sin, and reveal to him the depth of Your love through the sacrifice of Your Son, Jesus Christ.

Lord, we pray that You would appear to him in dreams and visions, just as You did for men like Joseph, Daniel, and Paul. Make Your presence undeniable to him. Let him encounter You in a way that leaves no room for doubt. Break every chain of deception, hardness of heart, or resistance to Your truth. Bring him to a place of broken repentance, where he turns from his sins and surrenders fully to You.

Father, we also lift up our sister who is praying for him. Give her wisdom, discernment, and patience as she shares Your truth with him. Let her words be seasoned with grace, and let her life be a testimony of Your love and holiness. If it is Your will for her to be his wife, prepare them both for a marriage that honors You—a covenant built on Christ, purity, and mutual submission to Your Word. But above all, let Your will be done in both of their lives. Guard her heart from presumption or emotional attachment that is not rooted in Your truth.

We rebuke any spiritual forces of darkness that may be blinding this man to the Gospel (2 Corinthians 4:4). By the authority of Jesus Christ, we command every stronghold of sin, pride, or unbelief to be torn down in his life. We declare that no weapon formed against Your plan for his salvation will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Lord, let Your light shine into every dark corner of his heart.

Finally, Father, we ask that You would give him a divine encounter with Jesus Christ—one that leaves him forever changed. Let today be the day of salvation for him (2 Corinthians 6:2). We pray all of this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone has the power to save. Amen.

We encourage you to continue praying for this man’s salvation, but also to release the outcome to the Lord. Trust that God hears you and that He is at work, even when you cannot see it. Keep sharing the Gospel with him in love, and let your life reflect the hope and transformation that comes from knowing Christ.

If you have not already, we also encourage you to examine your own heart before the Lord. Are there areas where you may be stepping ahead of God’s timing or trying to force a relationship that He has not ordained? Seek the Lord’s will above all else, and trust that His plans for you are good (Jeremiah 29:11). If you are struggling with loneliness or a desire for marriage, bring those feelings to God. He is your ultimate provider and comforter.

*"Delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will bring out your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noon day sun."* (Psalm 37:4-6, WEB)
