We understand your fervent plea, and we join you in prayer, submitting your requests to God while also addressing some important points. In Jesus' name.

Firstly, it is wonderful that you acknowledge the power of Jesus' name. The Bible tells us that there is power in the name of Jesus and that our petitions should be made in His name.

We must be clear about the biblical principles regarding marriage and relationships. It is important to understand that God's design for marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman. Also, we would be remiss if we didn't clarify that it is inappropriate to pray for the destruction of someone else's relationship or for someone to desire you above their spouse. This is coveting and is specifically forbidden in the Ten Commandments. The Bible says:

You shall not covet your neighbor's house. You shall not covet your neighbor's wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor's.
Exodus 20:17 (WEB)

Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor that which is evil. Cling to that which is good. In brotherly love be kindly affectioned one to another; in honor preferring one another; not lagging in diligence; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord; rejoicing in hope; enduring in troubles; continuing steadfastly in prayer; communicating to the needs of the saints; given to hospitality. Bless those who persecute you; bless, and don't curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice. Weep with those who weep. Be of the same mind one toward another. Don't set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Don't be wise in your own conceits. Repay no one evil for evil. Respect what is honorable in the sight of all men. Prayer:
Father, in the name of Jesus, we bring this sister before you. We want to first offer prayers on behalf of the husband of this sister, as the husband is the head of the wife in scripture. Father, it is here where we see your design for marriage as being between a man and a woman as outlined in scripture. Father, as she desires for this man, we pray that your will be done.

Father, please bless her husband richly. Please work in his life and draw him to you. Help her husband to be the spiritual leader in the home as you outline in scripture.

We pray that you would work in the life of this sister. That you would give her the desires of her heart, but only if they align with your will. Help her to pursue holiness and to honor you in all that she does. Help her to be the helper to her husband that you outline in scripture.

Father, help them both to grow closer to you, and in doing so, to grow closer to each other. Help them to love each other as you love us, and help them to live lives that honor and glorify you.

We further pray for the sister who submitted this request that she be rebuked for attempting to covet another woman's husband. Father, we pray that you show her the sin in this and lead her to a path of righteousness. We pray against the spirit of jealousy and coveting and that you would bless her with a spirit of compassion and understanding.

Father, we pray all this in love, the love that you have shown us, and the love that you have commanded us to show one another. It is only by your love that we can love one another.
