We hear your desperate cry for help and the deep pain in your heart. Your marriage is precious in the sight of God, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting this situation before the Lord with urgency. First, let us address the foundation of our prayers—it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is by His blood alone that we are cleansed, delivered, and set free. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we encourage you to surrender your life fully to Jesus, confessing Him as Lord and believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9). This is the starting point for all true healing and restoration.
Now, let us turn to the Word of God regarding marriage. The Lord designed marriage to be a covenant between one man and one woman, a sacred bond that reflects Christ’s love for His church (Ephesians 5:22-33). When soul ties—unhealthy spiritual and emotional bonds—form outside of this covenant, they defile what God has joined together. We rebuke every ungodly soul tie your husband has with his ex-wife or any other woman in the mighty name of Jesus. These ties are not of God, and they must be broken by the power of the Holy Spirit. The Bible warns us, "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14). Even if the other party is no longer in his life, ungodly soul ties can linger and poison the marriage covenant.
We also must address the language of your request with love and truth. While your desire for your husband’s affection and devotion is understandable, we must be careful not to seek to manipulate or control another person’s heart, even in prayer. God does not force love or attraction—He cultivates it through His Spirit and through the choices we make in obedience to Him.
