We encourage you to shift your focus from outward appearance to the inward work of the Holy Spirit. Spend time in God’s Word, in prayer, and in fellowship with other believers. Seek to cultivate the fruits of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). If your desire is to be a model, consider what kind of model you want to be. The world needs models of Christ-like love, humility, and service.
