We hear your urgent cry and stand with you in fervent prayer, lifting this matter before the throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Father God, we come before You with heavy hearts, seeking Your divine intervention in this situation. We know that all things are possible with You, and we ask that You move powerfully to stop this individual from continuing in the practice of plastic surgery.
Lord, we recognize that our bodies are fearfully and wonderfully made, as Your Word declares in Psalm 139:14, "I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well." We pray that You would open the eyes of those involved in this profession to see the beauty and purpose in the way You have created each person. Help them to understand that altering Your creation can be a rejection of Your perfect design.
Father, we rebuke any spirit of vanity, pride, or discontentment that may be driving this pursuit. Your Word warns us in 1 Peter 3:3-4, "Let your beauty be not just the outward adorning of braiding the hair, and of wearing jewels of gold, or of putting on fine clothing; but in the hidden person of the heart, in the incorruptible adornment of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God." We pray that hearts would be turned toward seeking inner beauty and godliness rather than outward appearances.
We also ask that You would bring conviction and repentance to those who are involved in this practice. If there are any who are operating outside of Your will, we pray that You would shut doors, remove opportunities, and create obstacles that would prevent them from continuing in this path. We trust in Your sovereignty and ask that You would work all things together for good, according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).
Lord, we pray for those who may be considering or have undergone such procedures. Bring healing and restoration to their hearts and minds. Help them to find their worth and identity in You alone, as Your Word tells us in 2 Corinthians 5:17, "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new." Let them see themselves through Your eyes and find contentment in who You have created them to be.
We declare that no weapon formed against Your perfect design shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We stand on Your promises and ask that You would bring an end to this practice swiftly and permanently. May Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
