Father God, we come before You with broken hearts, knowing that marriage is a sacred covenant designed to reflect Christ’s love for the Church (Ephesians 5:25). We lift up this marriage before You, asking that You would break every hardness of heart, every spirit of pride, and every barrier that is causing division. Lord, Your Word declares, *"A brother offended is harder to be won than a strong city; and contentions are like the bars of a fortress."* (Proverbs 18:19 WEB). We rebuke every spirit of disrespect, rudeness, and dismissiveness that has taken root in this home. In the mighty name of Jesus, we command it to flee! We pray that conviction would fall upon this husband like a heavy weight, that his heart would be tenderized, and that he would be brought to his knees in genuine repentance. Lord, let him see the pain he has caused, not to shame him, but to lead him to restoration. *"The Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it can’t save; nor his ear dull, that it can’t hear."* (Isaiah 59:1 WEB).
We also pray for this wife, that You would strengthen her with Your peace and remind her of her worth in Christ. Help her to respond with grace, even in this trial, and to trust in Your timing. *"But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint."* (Isaiah 40:31 WEB).
Father, we ask that You would restore love, respect, and unity to this marriage. Let Your Holy Spirit fill this home, bringing healing where there has been hurt and humility where there has been pride. We declare that this marriage will not be destroyed by the enemy but will be a testimony of Your redeeming power. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
