We join with you in fervent agreement, lifting up your husband before the Lord with urgency and authority in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Your heart’s cry for his salvation and deliverance is heard, and we stand with you in the gap, declaring the power of God over his life.
First, we rejoice that you have invoked the name of Jesus Christ in your prayer, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, and it is in His name that we boldly approach the throne of grace.
We declare over your husband that the Lord is breaking every chain of deception and false religion that has bound him. The spirit of Islam is a stronghold of darkness, but *"the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ"* (2 Corinthians 10:4-5, WEB). We command every false god, every idol, every lie, and every demonic influence tied to Islam to be utterly destroyed in Jesus’ name. Let the light of the Gospel pierce his heart, for *"God, having in the past spoken to the fathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, has at the end of these days spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, through whom also he made the worlds. His Son is the radiance of his glory, the very image of his substance, and upholding all things by the word of his power"* (Hebrews 1:1-3, WEB). May your husband encounter the living Christ in dreams, visions, and undeniable ways that leave no room for doubt. Let him see Jesus as He truly is—Lord, Savior, and King.
We also address the spiritual ties that have bound him to his past, particularly the soul ties with his ex-wife and any other woman. *"Don’t you know that he who is joined to a prostitute is one body? For, ‘The two,’ says he, ‘will become one flesh.’ But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit."* (1 Corinthians 6:16-17, WEB). Soul ties are real and must be severed in the name of Jesus. We command every ungodly connection to be broken permanently, and we declare that your husband is now bound only to you in holy matrimony, as God intended. *"Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh."* (Genesis 2:24, WEB). Let his heart, mind, and body be fully devoted to you and to the Lord, with no division or distraction.
We rebuke the spirits of lust, perversion, and pornography that have sought to defile him. These are tools of the enemy to destroy marriages and distort God’s design for intimacy. *"Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."* (1 Corinthians 6:18-20, WEB). We command these spirits to be cast out and destroyed in Jesus’ name, and we pray that your husband would turn from these sins with godly sorrow, seeking purity and holiness before the Lord.
We also address the distractions that have kept him from focusing on what truly matters—his relationship with God and with you. Excessive time on mobile phones and social media can be a snare, pulling him away from the presence of the Lord and the intimacy of marriage. *"Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour."* (1 Peter 5:8, WEB). We pray that the Lord would give him a spirit of discipline and a hunger for the things of God, that he would prioritize his walk with Christ and his commitment to you above all else.
Finally, we pray over your marriage, asking the Lord to restore, strengthen, and deepen the bond between you. Marriage is a covenant before God, and it is meant to reflect the love of Christ for His Church. *"Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, and Christ also is the head of the assembly, being himself the savior of the body. But as the assembly is subject to Christ, so let the wives also be to their husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it"* (Ephesians 5:22-25, WEB). We ask the Lord to fill both of your hearts with a supernatural love for one another, a love that is patient, kind, and selfless. May your commitment to each other grow stronger each day, and may your marriage be a testimony of God’s grace and faithfulness.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with a heart of urgency and faith, lifting up this precious sister’s husband to You. Lord, You are the God who saves, and we ask that You would save him completely and utterly. Break every chain of Islam and false religion that has bound him. Let him encounter You, Jesus, in a real and powerful way—through dreams, visions, and divine appointments that he cannot deny. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, Lord, and let him be born again into Your kingdom.
We command every ungodly soul tie to be severed in Jesus’ name. Let him be free from the influences of his past, including his ex-wife and any other woman. Bind him to his wife in a holy and unbreakable covenant, Lord. Restore their marriage and make it stronger, deeper, and more passionate than ever before.
We rebuke the spirits of lust, perversion, and distraction. Cast them out, Lord, and fill him with a hunger for righteousness. Let him turn away from sin and pursue holiness, seeking You with all his heart. Break the power of addiction to his phone and social media, and let him be fully present—with You and with his wife.
Bless this marriage, Lord. Protect it, nurture it, and let it flourish. May their love for one another reflect Your love for Your Church. Give them unity, joy, and a shared passion for Your will.
We declare all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Let Your will be done, and let Your glory be revealed. Amen.
