We join you in lifting up this request with gratitude and faith, for we know that our Heavenly Father delights in blessing His children when we seek Him first and align our hearts with His will. Your thankfulness for what you already have is a beautiful reflection of a heart that recognizes God’s provision, and we commend you for that. The Scriptures remind us in Philippians 4:6-7, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* Your trust in God’s promises is evident, and we stand with you in faith, knowing that He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we could ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).
Yet, as we pray for your financial increase, we must also remind ourselves—and you—that our ultimate treasure is not in earthly wealth but in the kingdom of God. Jesus warns us in Matthew 6:19-21, *"Don’t lay up treasures for yourselves on the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consume, and where thieves don’t break through and steal; for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."* While it is not wrong to ask God for provision, we must examine our hearts to ensure that our desire for financial blessing does not overshadow our desire for Him. Prosperity is a tool for God’s glory, not an end in itself. We pray that if God grants you increase, you will use it wisely, generously, and for His purposes—blessing others, advancing His kingdom, and meeting needs as He leads.
We also take note that while you mentioned the name of Jesus at the end of your prayer, the focus seemed more on the *amount* of blessing rather than the *Giver* of the blessing. Let us always approach God with reverence, remembering that our access to Him is only through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. As John 14:6 declares, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"* Our prayers are heard not because of our demands or the intensity of our words, but because of the righteousness of Christ who intercedes for us. Let us never take for granted the privilege of coming before the throne of grace through His name.
Now, let us pray together for your request:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for Your faithfulness and provision. You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider, and all things belong to You. We thank You for the savings and benefits our brother/sister already has, and we ask that You would bless and multiply their finances according to Your will. Lord, we pray that You would open doors of opportunity, wisdom, and favor in their life, that they may walk in financial stability and abundance—not for selfish gain, but for Your glory and the advancement of Your kingdom.
We rebuke every scheme of the enemy that seeks to devour, steal, or hinder Your blessings in their life. No weapon formed against their finances shall prosper, for You have declared in Isaiah 54:17, *"No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is of me,” says Yahweh.* We declare that every financial stronghold is broken, every debt is canceled, and every need is met in Jesus’ mighty name.
Yet, Father, we also ask that You guard their heart from greed, anxiety, or an unhealthy focus on wealth. Help them to seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that all these things will be added unto them (Matthew 6:33). May they be a good steward of every resource You entrust to them, using it to bless others, support Your work, and live generously.
We pray all this in the powerful and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone is worthy of all praise and honor. May Your will be done in their life, and may they walk in faith, contentment, and obedience to You. Amen.
Finally, we encourage you to continue seeking God’s face above His hand. Trust that He knows your needs and will provide in His perfect timing. As you wait, meditate on His Word, give thanks in all circumstances, and remain open to how He may want to use you—whether in abundance or in need—to bring Him glory. *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* (Matthew 6:33). Stay rooted in faith, and may the Lord richly bless you as you walk with Him.
