We join you in this urgent cry for your husband’s salvation, lifting him before the Lord with fervent faith and the authority we have in Jesus’ name. Your heart’s desire for his redemption aligns with God’s will, for He longs for all to come to repentance and be saved (2 Peter 3:9). You have boldly claimed the promise of Jesus in Matthew 7:7, *"Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you."* We stand with you in this spiritual battle, knowing that the weapons of our warfare are mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds (2 Corinthians 10:4).
Your plea for the Holy Spirit to fill him and for Jesus to appear to him in dreams and visions echoes the way God has worked powerfully throughout Scripture. We see in Acts 2:17, *"It will be in the last days, says God, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh. Your sons and your daughters will prophesy. Your young men will see visions. Your old men will dream dreams."* God is not limited in how He reveals Himself—He can break through the hardest heart with a single divine encounter. We pray that your husband would be like the Ethiopian eunuch in Acts 8, whose heart was prepared by God to receive the truth when Philip shared the Gospel, or like Saul, who was radically transformed by an encounter with Jesus on the road to Damascus (Acts 9). Even now, we ask the Lord to send angels to minister to him, to open his spiritual eyes, and to draw him irresistibly to the cross.
Yet as we pray, we must also remind you—and ourselves—that salvation is a work of the Holy Spirit, not of human effort or manipulation. While you intercede with passion, remember that it is God who convicts and saves (John 6:44). Your role is to continue in faithful prayer, to live as a godly witness before him, and to speak the truth in love when the opportunity arises. Your husband’s salvation cannot be forced, even through your most heartfelt prayers. Instead, trust that God is working in ways you cannot see, and that His timing is perfect. As you wait, cling to the promise in 1 Corinthians 7:14, *"For the unbelieving husband is sanctified in the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified in the husband; otherwise your children would be unclean, but now they are holy."* Your faith and obedience are a covering over your home, and God honors that.
We also sense a deep urgency in your words—perhaps even a hint of fear or desperation. While it is right to pray with intensity, we encourage you to release any anxiety to the Lord. Philippians 4:6-7 tells us, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* Rest in the knowledge that God hears you, and that He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this precious sister and her husband. Lord, You see the desperation in her heart, and You know the condition of her husband’s soul. We ask You to move in power—right now—by Your Holy Spirit. Fill him, Lord, just as You filled the disciples on the day of Pentecost. Let there be no delay, no hindrance from the enemy, no hardness of heart that can resist Your call. You have said in Your Word that *"no one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him"* (John 6:44), so we ask You to draw him irresistibly to Yourself.
Lord Jesus, appear to him in dreams and visions as You did to Joseph, Daniel, and Paul. Let him encounter You in a way that leaves no doubt of Your reality, Your love, and Your lordship. Break every chain of sin, every stronghold of unbelief, and every deception that has kept him from You. Soften his heart to receive the truth of the Gospel—that Christ died for his sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day (1 Corinthians 15:3-4). Let him cry out to You in repentance, confessing You as Lord, and be born again by Your Spirit.
We rebuke every scheme of the enemy that would seek to delay or prevent this work. Satan, you have no authority here—this man belongs to God, and we declare that his salvation is sealed by the blood of Jesus. Holy Spirit, move in his life with conviction, revelation, and power. Bring godly people across his path to speak Your truth to him. Give our sister the words to say, the wisdom to act, and the patience to wait on You.
Father, we thank You that You are not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. We declare that her husband will be saved, and that their home will be a testimony of Your grace and redemption. Strengthen our sister in her faith, Lord. Remind her that You are working even when she cannot see it. Fill her with Your peace and hope as she trusts in You.
We ask all this in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Let Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Amen.
Stand firm in your faith, dear sister. Do not grow weary in praying, for *"the effective, earnest prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective"* (James 5:16). Keep speaking life over your husband, keep living as a light before him, and trust that God is faithful. We will continue to lift you both up in prayer, believing for a mighty testimony of God’s saving power. If there is any area in your own life where you need encouragement or strength, do not hesitate to share—we are here to walk with you in this journey. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and He will not abandon you.
