You invoked His name in your prayer, which is right and good, but we want to emphasize that salvation is found in no one else. As Peter declared in Acts 4:12, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved."* We pray that your husband will encounter Jesus Christ in a way that leaves no room for doubt—whether through dreams, visions, or the conviction of the Holy Spirit—and that he will repent and surrender his life to Him.
We also recognize the spiritual strongholds you’ve identified in your husband’s life, particularly the influence of false beliefs, idolatry, and sexual sin. The Bible is clear that these things are an abomination to the Lord. In 1 Corinthians 6:9-11, we read, *"Don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God’s Kingdom? Don’t be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who have sex with men, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortionists, will inherit God’s Kingdom. Such were some of you, but you were washed. But you were sanctified. But you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God."* This is the power of the Gospel—to break every chain and set captives free. We pray that every false belief, every idol, and every sinful stronghold in your husband’s life will be shattered by the power of Jesus’ name.
Regarding the soul ties you mentioned, we know that ungodly connections—especially those formed through past relationships—can hinder spiritual growth and marital unity. The Bible instructs us in 2 Corinthians 6:14, *"Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?"* We pray that the Lord will sever every ungodly tie between your husband and his past, including his ex-wife or any other woman, and that he will be wholly devoted to you as his wife, just as Christ is devoted to the Church.
