We come before the throne of grace with urgency and fervor, lifting up your husband in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for it is written, *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). We praise God that you have called upon the name of Jesus, for *"there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). It is only through faith in Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is in His name alone that we boldly approach the throne to intercede for your husband’s soul.
Your heart’s cry reveals a deep spiritual battle for your husband’s life, and we stand with you in this fight, for *"our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places"* (Ephesians 6:12, WEB). We declare that no weapon formed against your marriage shall prosper, for *"no weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is from me," says Yahweh* (Isaiah 54:17, WEB).
First, we rebuking any spirit of Islam or false religion that may have a hold on your husband’s life. The Word of God is clear: *"You shall have no other gods before me"* (Exodus 20:3, WEB). Any allegiance to false gods, idols, or teachings that contradict the Gospel of Jesus Christ must be broken in the name of Jesus. We command every chain of deception, every stronghold of darkness, and every lie of the enemy to be shattered by the power of the blood of Jesus. *"The idols of the nations are silver and gold, the work of men’s hands. They have mouths, but they don’t speak. They have eyes, but they don’t see. They have ears, but they don’t hear; neither is there any breath in their mouths. Those who make them will be like them; yes, everyone who trusts in them"* (Psalm 135:15-18, WEB). Your husband shall no longer be enslaved to falsehood, but he shall be set free by the truth of Jesus Christ, for *"you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free"* (John 8:32, WEB).
We also address the strongholds of lust, sexual sin, and perversion that you have mentioned. The Word of God warns, *"Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s"* (1 Corinthians 6:18-20, WEB). Any involvement with pornography, ungodly attractions, or sexual sin is an abomination before the Lord and opens the door to demonic influence. We bind and cast out every spirit of lust, perversion, and uncleanness in the name of Jesus. We declare that your husband’s mind and heart shall be washed clean by the blood of the Lamb, and he shall be renewed in the spirit of his mind. *"Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honest, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things"* (Philippians 4:8, WEB).
The issue of soul ties with his ex-wife and other women must also be severed in the name of Jesus. The Bible teaches that *"a wife is bound by law for as long as her husband lives; but if the husband is dead, she is free to be married to whoever she desires, only in the Lord"* (1 Corinthians 7:39, WEB). Since your husband is now married to you, any emotional, spiritual, or physical connection to his past must be broken. We declare that every ungodly soul tie is cut by the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. *"Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?"* (2 Corinthians 6:14, WEB). Your husband shall be wholly yours, and his heart shall be turned entirely toward you, as the two of you are now one flesh in the sight of God. *"Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh"* (Genesis 2:24, WEB).
We also address the issue of his attachment to his mobile phone and social media. Anything that becomes an idol or distraction from God’s will for his life must be removed. *"Little children, keep yourselves from idols"* (1 John 5:21, WEB). We pray that the Lord would convict him of any time wasted on ungodly influences and that he would be drawn instead to the Word of God and to prayer. *"Set your mind on the things that are above, not on the things that are on the earth"* (Colossians 3:2, WEB).
Most importantly, we cry out for your husband’s salvation and a powerful encounter with Jesus Christ. *"For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life"* (John 3:16, WEB). If your husband has not yet surrendered his life to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, we pray that today would be the day of his salvation. We ask the Lord to visit him in dreams and visions, to reveal Himself in undeniable ways, and to draw your husband into a deep, repentant relationship with Him. *"The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but he is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance"* (2 Peter 3:9, WEB). We plead the blood of Jesus over his life and declare that he shall be saved, sanctified, and set apart for God’s glory.
We also pray for the restoration and strengthening of your marriage. The enemy seeks to destroy what God has joined together, but we declare that your marriage shall be a testimony of God’s redeeming power. *"What therefore God has joined together, don’t let man tear apart"* (Mark 10:9, WEB). We ask the Lord to fill your husband with a deep, godly love for you—a love that is patient, kind, and selfless. *"Love is patient and is kind; love doesn’t envy. Love doesn’t brag, is not proud, doesn’t behave itself inappropriately, doesn’t seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil; doesn’t rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things. Love never fails"* (1 Corinthians 13:4-8, WEB). We declare that your husband’s heart shall be turned toward you in a way that honors God and reflects the love of Christ for His church.
Finally, we encourage you to continue standing in faith and praying without ceasing. *"The effective, earnest prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective"* (James 5:16, WEB). Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you shall reap if you do not faint. *"Let’s not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up"* (Galatians 6:9, WEB). Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight"* (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB).
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this precious sister and her husband. Lord, we ask that You would move mightily in his life, breaking every chain of darkness and setting him free from every ungodly influence. Convict him deeply of his sins, Lord, and bring him to a place of true repentance. Let him encounter You in dreams, visions, and undeniable ways, so that he may know beyond a shadow of a doubt that Jesus Christ is Lord.
We command every false god, every idol, and every demonic stronghold to be destroyed in the name of Jesus. We sever every ungodly soul tie with his ex-wife and any other woman, and we declare that his heart shall be wholly devoted to his wife, just as Christ is devoted to His church. Break the power of lust, pornography, and sexual sin in his life, Lord, and cleanse him with Your precious blood. Deliver him from the snare of social media and anything that distracts him from Your will.
Father, we pray for a mighty outpouring of Your Holy Spirit upon him. Fill him with Your love, Your peace, and Your power. Let him be a man after Your own heart, walking in righteousness and holiness. Restore his marriage, Lord, and let it be a beacon of Your glory. Give this wife the strength to continue standing in faith, knowing that You are working all things together for good.
We declare salvation, deliverance, and restoration in the name of Jesus Christ. Let Your will be done in his life, Lord, and let Your kingdom come. We thank You for hearing our prayers and for the victory that is already won through the blood of Jesus. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
