We understand your urgent prayer request and we stand with you in prayer, seeking God's will for your marriage. It's wonderful that you acknowledge the power of Jesus' name, as it is written, "In that day you will no more ask me anything in my name. Verily, verily, I say to you, whatever you will ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you." We also honor your request for privacy and will use general terms in our response.

Firstly, we commend you for your desire to be forgiven and for asking God to intervene in your husband's life. It's important to remember that God desires that none should perish but that all should come to repentance. As it says, "The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance."

However, we must address that it is not biblical to pray for the destruction of someone's free will or for them to be manipulated against their will, even if it's for a seemingly good cause. God wants a willing heart, as King David of Israel wrote "Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Do not cast me away from your presence, and do not take your holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit." God wants us to choose Him willingly, not through force or manipulation.

We also want to remind you of the importance of loving your husband as God loves him. The scripture says, "However, love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you." This doesn't mean we approve of wrongdoing, but we are called to love and pray for others, including our spouses, even when it's difficult.

Regarding your concerns about other women, remember that God's word says, "Therefore what God has joined together, let no man separate." It also says, "For this cause a man will leave his father and mother, and will be joined to his wife. And the two will become one flesh."

Let's pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our sister and her husband. Lord, we ask for Your forgiveness and mercy upon their lives. We pray that You will fill them both with Your Holy Spirit and cast out anything that is not of You. We ask in your Son Jesus that you will permanently cut off all other spiritual ties, and that there would be a good harvest of good fruit from this marriage and not to be dragged back into worldly things, and a desire for them to worship God together with the whole heart. We pray for their marriage to be strengthened, for their love to deepen, and for their union to be protected from all forms of attacks and temptations. We ask that You will help them to have eyes only for each other, as you have ordained for marriage and bless them with a love that is pure, patient, and kind.

However Lord, we do not ask that you would violate the free will of anyone, but that you would work in their hearts to turn to You. We ask that You would help them to be willing to follow You and to be the husband and wife that You have called them to be.

We ask all of these things, trusting in Your perfect will for their lives and their marriage. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Be encouraged and stay steadfast in prayer. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
