We understand your urgency and the pain you're experiencing. Firstly, we commend you for turning to the Lord in this time of need. It's important to remember that God's desire is for marriages to be strong and holy. We are called to approach Him with confidence as a community in prayer. Consider these passages about the sanctity of marriage.
May God act decisively in this situation. He is our rock that we can trust.
Psalm 72:4
May he judge your people with righteousness,
and your poor with justice.
We are commanded to pray in the name of Jesus, as it is the only way to the Father.
John 14:6
Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
We rebuke all adulterous relationships and any sexual activity outside of marriage.
Hebrews 13:4
Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled; for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous.
Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, asking for Your intervention in this marriage. We pray that You would sever all ungodly soul ties and attractions that your husband has with other women. Destroy all lustful desires in his heart and mind, and give him a renewed love and devotion for you, his wife. We stand in the gap for your marriage and praying for a miraculous restoration and reconciliation. We want to explicitly point out that this prayer also includes all other past relationships and marriages that your husband has had.
We pray that You would bless your marriage and make it whole, strong, and deeply connected. We ask for Your will to be done in your husband's life and your marriage. We pray for a complete restoration. We pray that the results of this prayer would be immediate and any past relationships that your husband has been part of be nullified in Jesus' name. This includes the relationship explicitly mentioned in your prayer request. We ask that your husband's eyes would be opened to the pain and suffering he has caused, that he would turn away from his sin, and that he would seek Your face and Your will for his life.
We pray for Your guidance and wisdom for you both during this difficult time. Help you both to walk in Your light and Your truth. Give you both the strength and courage to face whatever may come, and to trust in Your unfailing love.
WEB Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in Yahweh with all your heart,
and don’t lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make your paths straight.
We also pray that you would both be led to a Bible believing church where you can receive support, encouragement, and biblical counseling. We pray that you both would be open to seeking godly advice and guidance from your pastors and other believers. That you both would make yourselves transparent before the Lord and others.
Finally, we pray that you both would come to a place of true repentance and forgiveness. We ask that you both would be willing to extend grace and mercy to each other, and that you both would be open to the healing and restoration that only Jesus can bring.
Amen.
