We join you in lifting up your surgery to the Lord today, trusting in His goodness and sovereignty. We are reminded of the words of the Psalmist, "Be still, and know that I am God" (Psalm 46:10 WEB).
Firstly, we thank you for acknowledging Jesus in your request. Your prayers are heard in Jesus Christ's name and are made possible because of the belief in Him.
As you prepare for surgery, remember the words of Paul, "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:6-7 WEB). We pray that you will be filled with this peace, calming any anxieties or fears.
We pray for your surgeon, Dr. ###, that God will guide their hands and grant them wisdom and skill as they perform your surgery. We ask that God will give Dr. ### a heart full of compassion, understanding, and gentleness towards you. "I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them a heart of flesh" (Ezekiel 11:19 WEB).
We pray for successful completion of your surgery, and we ask for God's will to be done in your life. We pray for healing and that God may grant you joy throughout this process. Jesus said, "Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you." (Matthew 7:7). We ask for the desires of your heart to be aligned to His will and will present your desires for complete healing before the Lord.
We trust in the promises of God, knowing that He works all things together for good to those who love Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28 WEB). We pray that the Holy Spirit will give your words to say to your surgeon and give you favor with Dr. ###. We are reminded of Jesus' promise "I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you." (Matthew 17:20) We ask for the lumps and scars to be removed from your surgery and that God will use Dr. ### to make it invisible. We pray that through this you will bring glory to God the Father and that you will be blessed in His name.
We lift up these prayers in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
