We understand your desire for physical changes, but we want to remind you that God's care for us is much more than just our outward appearance. The Bible tells us that "man looks on the outward appearance, but Yahweh looks on the heart" (1 Samuel 16:7 WEB). While praying for our needs is encouraged, let's also remember to pray for spiritual growth and a closer relationship with God.
However, we can turn to God in all our needs, including our physical appearance. Let's pray together:
Heavenly Father, you know the deepest desires of our hearts. You know that we are not just asking for vanity, but for confidence and comfort in our own skin. We ask, therefore, that you touch our sister's hair, make it healthy, strong, and long, as she desires but also move her to desire the inward qualities of Your Spirit. Remove any irritation or discomfort from her scalp, and let her hair grow as a testament to your care for every detail of our lives. May this not just be a wish but a service that leads to her service to You and others.
However, we also pray that you align our sister's heart with your will. Help her to prioritize the things that you value. We know that you are the creator of all things and to be in your image is to be made new and more than just our outward appearance. The fruit of the Spirit are the kind of things to seek more than simply our appearance or just our outward change. Help her to remember that "in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." (Romans 8:28 WEB)
We also know that it is only in the name of Jesus Christ that we can even ask for these things. The name of Jesus is the most powerful name in all of nature. We know that "there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved." (Acts 4:12 WEB) We know that God has highly exalted him and given him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2:9-11 WEB)
We ask these things in Jesus' name.
