We understand your urgency and desire for your husband's salvation and the unity of your marriage. We will pray and provide guidance according to biblical principles.
Firstly, it's crucial to understand that while we should pray fervently for our loved ones, we cannot force someone to become a born-again Christian. The decision to follow Jesus Christ is a personal one that each individual must make. However, our prayers can help prepare their hearts and create an environment where they are more receptive to the Gospel. We should also ensure that our prayers are aligned with God's will and offered with the right motives in Jesus' name.
The Bible tells us, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says WEB's Lamentations 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. You shall call on me, and you shall go and pray to me, and I will listen to you.
We should also remember that God desires that none should perish, but that all should come to repentance. As it is written in WEB's 2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise, as some count slowness; but is patient toward us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this beloved sister and her husband. Lord, we ask that You soften his heart and open his eyes to the truth of the Gospel. We pray that You will reveal Yourself to him in a powerful way, even through dreams and visions if it pleases You.
We also pray for unity in their marriage, that both of them will be one in You, Lord. We ask that You bless their relationship and draw them closer to each other and to You. Protect their marriage and help it to flourish in every way.
However, Lord, we know that true unity comes from both parties being in You. So, we ask that You will work in his heart, that he may be saved and become a born-again Christian. We ask that You will give her the wisdom and patience to love him as You love us, and to be a light that guides him to You.
We ask this in accordance with Your will and in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Lastly, we encourage you to continue to be a godly example to your husband. Love him as Christ loves the church.
