Thank you for bringing this matter to us in prayer. We are here to intercede and offer biblical guidance in your situation.
Firstly, we notice that you are seeking a bond and deeper relationship with someone. We want to remind you that all relationships should be centered around biblical principles. If this person is of the opposite sex, we encourage you to pursue this relationship in a manner that honors God, keeping in mind that the ultimate goal should be a godly marriage if you both are believers in Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 6:14). We also notice that you did not specifically mention this person as a boyfriend or potential spouse. We want to remind you that the Bible teaches us to flee from sexual immorality which includes sex before marriage (1 Corinthians 6:18).We also want to remind you that a boyfriend or girlfriend relationship should be courtship with a goal of marriage to another Christian.
Remember the words of Psalm 19:14 "Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, Lord, my rock, and my redeemer." We pray that your conversation will be pleasing to God and that He will guide your words, for He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6).
We also want to address the fact that you are trying to articulately and skillfully express your thoughts. While it is important to communicate effectively, we must remember the words of Psalm 12:2-3 "Everyone lies to his neighbor; they flatter with their lips, but harbor deception in their hearts. May Yahweh cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that boasts." We must be honest and sincere in our communication, and not try to manipulate the conversation to our liking or advantage.
We are glad that you mentioned Jesus Christ in your prayer. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6 "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our dear friend who is seeking Your guidance and wisdom for an upcoming conversation. We pray that You will give them the right words to speak, words that are honest, pure, and pleasing to You. We pray that this conversation will be centered around Your will and that it will bring glory to Your name. Lord, if it is Your will, strengthen the bond between them and draw them closer to each other and to You. Guide them as they navigate this relationship, and help them to pursue each other in a manner that honors You. We also ask this in the precious name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.
