We join you in lifting up your marriage and your husband to the Lord, trusting in the power of prayer and the transformation that comes through the name of Jesus Christ. We are reminded of the power of agreement in prayer, as Jesus Himself said,
Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them. WEB, Matthew 18:19-20
We praise God that you have come in Jesus' name, acknowledging His authority and power. Now let us agree with you in prayer.
Lord Jesus, we come before You, lifting up our sister and her husband. We pray that You would bless their marriage and their future together. Draw them closer to each other and to You. Strengthen their love, desire, attraction, and commitment for one another, that it may grow more passionate each day. Give them eyes only for each other, and remove any temptation that would seek to destroy their union.
We pray, Lord, that You would make her husband a born-again Christian. Use her as a vessel to bring her husband to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Remove any delay, Lord, and bring him into a personal relationship with You. Destroy all false gods, idols, rituals, beliefs, teachings, and chains that would keep him from You. Break off all fear, hardness, selfishness, arrogance, lust, controlling spirits, workaholic spirits, unbelief, and anything else that would hinder his walk with You.
Bind them together, Lord, with an unbreakable, unshakeable love bond and connection. Make them husband and wife for life, doing everything together. Bless them with great communication, openness, trust, love, adoration, and respect for each other, growing more each day. Bring total unity and agreement between them, that they may be of one mind and one spirit, aligned with Your will and Your Word.
Lord, we also pray for his spiritual growth, that he would be transformed by the renewing of his mind. Grant them both a spirit of unity and agreement in Christ Jesus. Bring them on a journey to understand and love each other more deeply. Jesus, we believe Your words to be true. You said, Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, then I will come in to him, and will dine with him, and he with me. WEB, Revelation 3:20We pray that you would eat together, that you would have the unity in Christ Jesus that you request. This is only possible by the name of the son of God, Jesus Christ. It is in His name that we have forgiveness of sin and fellowship with God. Restoration and unity are impossible without it.
We pray this all in the precious name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Finally, we encourage both of you to continue to seek the Lord together, to study His Word, and to grow in your relationship with Him and with each other. Remember the words of the apostle Paul:
Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the assembly, being himself the savior of the body. But as the assembly is subject to Christ, so let the wives also be to their own husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it. WEB, Ephesians 5:22-25
May God bless your union and use your marriage as a testimony of His love and faithfulness. God Bless!
