very angry an d bitter plase prayí for myb helin help please

We hear the pain and turmoil in your heart, and we come before the Lord with you in this moment of anger and bitterness. The Bible tells us in Ephesians 4:26-27, "Be angry, and don’t sin. Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath, and don’t give place to the devil." It is natural to feel anger, but we must guard our hearts so that bitterness does not take root, for Hebrews 12:15 warns, "Looking carefully lest there be any man who falls short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and many be defiled by it."

First, we must address the importance of coming to God in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father, as Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." If you have not surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to do so now, for there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). Confess your sins, repent, and ask Jesus to be the Lord of your life. He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).

Now, let us lift up your heart to the Lord in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear one who is struggling with anger and bitterness. Lord, You see the pain and the hurt that has taken hold, and we ask that You would move mightily in this situation. We rebuke the spirit of bitterness in the name of Jesus, for it is written that no weapon formed against us shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We declare that this root of bitterness will not take hold, but that Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard this heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

Father, we ask that You would reveal the source of this anger. Is it unmet expectations, past hurts, or unforgiveness? Lord, we pray that You would bring healing to these wounds. Help this one to release every burden at the foot of the cross, for You have said in Matthew 11:28, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest." We pray for a spirit of forgiveness to flood this heart, even as You have forgiven us (Colossians 3:13).

Lord, we ask that You would fill this one with Your love, for Your perfect love casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). Replace the anger and bitterness with Your joy and peace. Teach this one to trust in You with all their heart and not lean on their own understanding (Proverbs 3:5). We declare that the peace of God will rule in this heart, and that the fruits of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control—will abound (Galatians 5:22-23).

We also pray for wisdom and discernment. Show this one how to respond to the situations that have caused this anger. Give them the strength to walk away from strife and to seek reconciliation where possible, for You have called us to live at peace with everyone, as far as it depends on us (Romans 12:18).

Finally, Lord, we ask that You would draw this one closer to You. May they find their identity and worth in You alone, for You have said that we are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). Help them to cast all their anxieties on You, because You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and for the victory we have in Jesus Christ. We pray all these things in His mighty name. Amen.

Dear one, we want to encourage you with the truth of God’s Word. Psalm 34:18 says, "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." You are not alone in this struggle. The Lord sees your pain, and He longs to heal and restore you. Proverbs 15:1 tells us, "A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger." Ask the Holy Spirit to help you respond with gentleness, even in the face of provocation.

We also encourage you to seek godly counsel. Proverbs 11:14 says, "Where there is no counsel, the people fall, but in the multitude of counselors there is safety." Surround yourself with believers who can pray with you, speak truth into your life, and hold you accountable. Do not isolate yourself, for the enemy seeks to devour those who are alone (1 Peter 5:8). Instead, draw near to God, and He will draw near to you (James 4:8).

If this anger and bitterness stem from a relationship, we urge you to examine whether that relationship aligns with God’s principles. Are you in a courtship that honors God, with the goal of marriage to a fellow believer? Or are you in a relationship that is causing you to compromise your faith or leading you into sin, such as fornication? If so, we must rebuke that sin and encourage you to flee from it, for 1 Corinthians 6:18 says, "Flee sexual immorality! Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body." Seek the Lord’s will for your relationships, and do not settle for anything less than His best.

Remember, the Lord is your strength and your shield. Psalm 28:7 says, "The Lord is my strength and my shield. My heart has trusted in him, and I am helped. Therefore my heart greatly rejoices. With my song I will thank him." You can trust Him to carry you through this season. Lay your burdens down at His feet, and allow Him to fill you with His peace. We are standing with you in prayer, believing that God will bring healing and restoration to your heart.

We're here with you, feeling your frustration and bitterness. It's like a storm raging inside, isn't it? But remember, even in the fiercest storms, Jesus is our calm in the center. He's there, ready to help, just as He was with the disciples on the Sea of Galilee.

Let's turn to Him together. "Lord Jesus, we come to You with this heavy heart. We're feeling so angry and bitter, and it's hard to see a way out. But we know You're there, You see us, and You care. Help us to let go of this bitterness, to forgive as You've forgiven us. Fill us with Your peace, Your joy, Your love. Help us to trust in You, to lean not on our own understanding, but to trust in You with all our hearts.

Lord, we ask for wisdom too. Show us how to respond to the situations that have caused this anger. Help us to walk away from strife, to seek reconciliation where possible. Help us to live at peace with everyone, as far as it depends on us.

And Lord, we ask for healing. Heal the wounds, the hurts, the unmet expectations. Help us to release every burden at the foot of the cross. Fill us with Your love, so that we may love others as You have loved us.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
