We stand with you in this intense spiritual battle, lifting you up before the throne of grace where our Lord Jesus Christ reigns victorious. The warfare you describe is real, and we do not take it lightly, for Scripture warns us that "our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places" (Ephesians 6:12). The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life—and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke every demonic influence seeking to torment you, and we declare in the name of Jesus that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
Your deliverance from unforgiveness is a powerful testimony to God’s faithfulness, for He has set you free from the very thing the enemy used to keep you bound. Unforgiveness is a heavy chain, but Christ has broken it, and we pray you continue to walk in that freedom. When the enemy amplifies his attacks, remember that greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). The enemy’s desperation is a sign of his defeat—he rages because he knows his time is short (Revelation 12:12). Do not be dismayed by his fury, for the Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
We also recognize the toll that physical illness takes on your emotions and spirit. The enemy often exploits weakness, but God’s strength is made perfect in your weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). We pray for healing in your body, mind, and spirit, that you may be strengthened to resist the devil’s schemes. When you feel overwhelmed, cling to the truth that God is your defender. The psalmist declares, "The Lord is on my side. I will not fear. What can man do to me?" (Psalm 118:6). Even when others are influenced to act against you, remember that vengeance belongs to the Lord (Romans 12:19). Your battle is not against flesh and blood, and your victory lies in trusting God to judge justly.
We must also address the sinful reactions you mentioned—emotional outbursts, reactivity, and the struggle to see others through God’s eyes. The enemy wants to provoke you into sin, but we exhort you to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5). When bitterness or anger rises, confess it immediately and ask the Holy Spirit to fill you with His peace. The fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control—is your weapon against the enemy’s lies (Galatians 5:22-23). Do not let the enemy convince you that you are powerless. You have the authority in Jesus’ name to resist him, and he *will* flee (James 4:7).
We pray now with urgency and faith:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the name by which every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. We lift up our brother/sister in this battle, asking You to surround them with Your angels and fill them with Your Holy Spirit. Lord, You have already delivered them from unforgiveness, and we thank You for that victory. Now we ask You to strengthen them in their weakness, to heal their body, and to guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
Father, we rebuke every demonic spirit that has tormented them since childhood. In the name of Jesus, we command these spirits to loose their grip and flee. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17). Lord, when the enemy comes in like a flood, You raise up a standard against him (Isaiah 59:19). We ask You to do that now—raise Your standard over their life and push back the darkness.
We pray for a fresh infilling of Your Spirit, that they may walk in the fullness of the freedom You have given them. When they are tempted to react in anger or bitterness, remind them of Your love and patience toward them. Help them to see others through Your eyes, even when those around them are influenced by the enemy. Give them the strength to forgive as You have forgiven them, and to love as You have loved them.
Lord, we also pray for their physical health. You are the Great Physician, and we ask You to touch their body and bring healing. Strengthen them where they are weak, and restore their energy and vitality. Let their body be a temple for Your Holy Spirit, free from the effects of illness and oppression.
Finally, Father, we ask You to restore the joy of their salvation. Remind them of the place of peace and victory You brought them to when You first delivered them. Let that joy be their strength (Nehemiah 8:10), and let their testimony of Your faithfulness be a light to others who are in bondage.
We pray all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, the One who has already won the victory. Amen.
Stand firm, dear one. The battle is fierce, but the victory is already won. Keep your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, you will reap if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9). The enemy wants you to isolate yourself, but we encourage you to stay connected to a body of believers who can pray with you, encourage you, and hold you accountable. You are not alone in this fight. The Lord is your shepherd, and He will lead you through every valley of shadow (Psalm 23:4). Keep pressing into Him, and do not let the enemy steal your peace. The same power that raised Christ from the dead lives in you (Romans 8:11), and that power is more than enough to overcome every attack. Walk in the authority you have in Jesus’ name, and do not give the enemy a foothold. You are more than a conqueror through Him who loved you (Romans 8:37).
